So if I’m understanding this correctly if the 1 is up on the 811LM I won’t be able to program another remote without having to go into the control box?

How can I contact y’all having some issues with my gate motor idk if you guys work on those

Is there a process by which I can use an existing 811lmx that is already programmed to clone additional 811LMX remotes and if so do the dip switches need to be in positions other than all 12 off. My current configuration is a single 811LMX and currently all dip switches are off. If cloning is not possible, does programming new remotes via the gate controller program method erase previously programmed remotes?

what do you have to do to program a remote with dual openers to make sure both gates open/close when using the clicker.

Is it possible to program an older 811LM remote (10/12), to work on a newer opener? My new opener came with a 893LM (4/19), but I wouldn't mind having my old remote as a spare!
@gatehousesupplies2 жыл бұрын
It will work on newer commercial door openers and 850LM receivers however, the 811LM or 811lmx will not work on newer residential garage door openers with security 2.0 / round yellow lean buttons. For those units use 891LM remotes if you want a single button remote.

@@gatehousesupplies Thanks, will try when I get home! When I opened the 811LM, it didn't have any blue program button next to the dip switches... and the 893LM doesn't have any dip switches! Hopefully it will still work because I'm almost positive the Garage door opener doesn't have the yellow learn button.

@@bennguyen1313 were you able to get it to work? Because I have the same remote and mine doesn't have a blue learn button either it is 811LM

@@gatehousesupplies I have a garage door opener LiftMaster 811LM and when I opened it all the toggle switches are on, or in the up position. It works on my garage door. But I noticed it does not have a blue learn button inside the remote. My Chamberlain garage door opener is from 1991. I just bought another remote on eBay to use on my second garage door which did not come with a remote but it is the same model. Also from 1991. How should I program the control to the opener 🤔
@gatehousesupplies2 жыл бұрын
@@FruitfulEden Only the 811LMX will have a learn button to the right of the dip switches (It is Black, not blue) and very hard to see and access. What is the model number of the remote that currently works your garage door? Possibly 61LM or 81LM ?

Anyone know if this remote works with Genie 12 dip switch openers?
@gatehousesupplies Жыл бұрын
NO, it does not work with Genie, take a look at the 380UT remote gatehousesupplies.com/liftmaster-380ut-2-button-universal-remote-control/

@@gatehousesuppliesThanks! I have the Liftmaster 811LM remote and a neighbor needs a Genie remote. They both have 12 dip switches and both run 390 MHZ so I thought it may work. I may try it anyway and see, just for fun. Thanks again. I'll keep you posted. 🙂

Cannot program my new car that uses Homelink to replace this remote. Any ideas?

In most cases this remote IS NOT homelink compatible

can I program this remote to open the gate and leave it open until I decide to close it?
@gatehousesupplies2 жыл бұрын
If the gate closes automatically now, it will continue to do so, the remote does not control or override the timer function.
@natedietrich3723 Жыл бұрын
Turn the timer off on the gate operator. Then your remote will work as you wish.
@somchaiwongma381311 ай бұрын
We don’t know what happened but our remotes were not able to stop the gate, so it always fully opened and then closed automatically. Now it’s possible to stop the gate at any time by pressing the remote and it won’t close automatically. We haven’t changed anything and can’t find out how to program it the way it used to be. Since we give a remote to guests, we want to make sure that the gate is always closed and that there is no way to leave it open.
@gatehousesupplies11 ай бұрын
That is a function of the gate operator and the way it's programmed, it has nothing to do with the remote itself.
@somchaiwongma381311 ай бұрын
@@gatehousesupplies The manual states that it’s the normal programming: opening at the first click, stopping at the 2nd click. We haven’t changed the programming at the gate opener (CSL24 UL) it used to be impossible to stop the gate with the remote and to leave it open. The gate opener doesn’t explain how to program it back into the old mode (which would be typical for a gated community where users should not be able to leave the gate open)

What do you do if you do have 1 on?
@screena8 Жыл бұрын
Exactly what I want to know. Our number 1 pin is in the on position. We could not get this remote to work!

All you have to do is set the dip switches the same and make sure it's in the proper mode.
