Well my garage door opener is over 24 years old (came with purchase of home a few years ago). However, while we have the exact same remote, our garage door opener is very different. I think it's from 2000. Do I need to replace the whole thing? Thanks.

It worked for opening the garage door from the remote, but it won’t close. It also glitches when using the wall control; clicking and flashing the first press, then closing only if the wall control is continuously pressed down until door completely shuts

We don’t know what happened but our remotes were not able to stop the gate, so it always fully opened and then closed automatically. Now it’s possible to stop the gate at any time by pressing the remote and it won’t close automatically. We haven’t changed anything and can’t find out how to program it the way it used to be. Since we give a remote to guests, we want to make sure that the gate is always closed and that there is no way to leave it open.

So if I’m understanding this correctly if the 1 is up on the 811LM I won’t be able to program another remote without having to go into the control box?

All you have to do is set the dip switches the same and make sure it's in the proper mode.

Is there a process by which I can use an existing 811lmx that is already programmed to clone additional 811LMX remotes and if so do the dip switches need to be in positions other than all 12 off. My current configuration is a single 811LMX and currently all dip switches are off. If cloning is not possible, does programming new remotes via the gate controller program method erase previously programmed remotes?

I lost one of my 892LT remotes. Can a new one learn the code from my old 892LT?

I hold mine for 10 secs then red led turns on but once I let go and push it 3 times it just green unlike in your video it’s red.

Great video. Very strange that my remote only works during certain time periods during the day. Is there a time of operation setting on these receivers? If so how do I get rid of it?
