Thanks so much for posting this video. I had error code 70 and the gate would only open and not close. I brought a wet napkin out and wiped off both sensors and it did the trick! Thanks again!

Mine is saying 71 and I’m now a widow who normally can fix electronics like this. I just am too overwhelmed. Nothing I push is clearing the code!

My gate will stop completely and i have to manually reset it and gives me code 72. It happens everytime something lasts more than 2 seconds in its path. We would have to drive like 60 mph for the gAte to reverse open and the alarm to not go off.

@Cecilia Y Eulogia, it sounds like you may have an issue with how your photo eyes are installed, or with the alignment of the photo eyes. When your gate is opening or closing, do the photo eyes vibrate or shake from the movement of the gate?
@cecilia123ist2 жыл бұрын
@@totalsecuritywarehouse3621 no they dont. If we pass with a vehicle it does that or if i walk by it opens back up. But if i stand there for even 2 seconds the alarm goes off

@@cecilia123ist yeah, sounds fishy. My best guess would be an issue with the photo eyes still. Are they installed correctly? Are they wired to the correct inputs on the main control board? Might be a good time to call in a professional.

@@totalsecuritywarehouse3621 do we need to have two photo eyes? Or just one?
@totalsecuritywarehouse36212 жыл бұрын
@@cecilia123ist A minimum of two photo eyes and/or edge sensors must be attached to the gate operator in order for it to run; one that covers the opening direction and one that covers the closing direction. You can use either a photo eye or edge sensor to cover each. As well, any additional "entrapment" areas that are not covered by the opening or closing device must be protected with a photo eye or edge sensor. Do you have two photo eyes? Are they both covering the same area?

My gate has had code 70 for more than 3 minutes. Is that expected?

Sounds like there is an issue with your photo eye, or edge sensor, attached to this gate. Make sure that the photo eye is properly aligned, and that the edge sensor is not in contact with any objects. If both of these check out okay, make sure all the wiring for the photo eye and edge sensor is tight and secure in the appropriate screw down terminals. The error code will continue to display until the gate operator receives an opening signal. If the error code still does not go away, there may be a problem with your photo eyes, edge sensors, or the main board of your gate operator.

thanks. It might be an issue w/ the photo eye or main board. The photo eye was displaying neither a blue light nor a red light. Once I manually closed the gate using the 'test' button on the board, the code went away. Very weird.
