Magnificent Light and Sound Show at Modhera Sun Temple - Unesco 's Cultural Heritage Site was inaugurated by Our, India's , Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi on 9th October 2022.
The temple was built to worship deity Sun, Surya Dev. It was built by King Bhimdev Solanki, the 1st, of Solanki ( Suryavanshi ) dynasty in the year 1027.
Even after 1000 years, the temple is still standing with its carvings and beautiful sculptures in perfect condition.
I have described more details about the temple in my previous videos. I have put links for all my previous videos about Modhera and Sun temple in the description below.
This show is run by electricity produced from solar energy plant at Modhera. The town Modhera is now 100 % totally dependent on solar energy for electricity needs.
Although the show is being narrated in HIndi language I have translated the contents in English language and have included as a caption in the video.
I have divided the show in three separate parts, three different videos. Part 1, Part 2, Part 3. So do not forget to watch all three parts to enjoy entire magnificent show.
The first video ( Part I ) shows the introduction and the importance of the Sun and solar energy for an existence of humankind.
The second video ( Part 2 ) shows various sun temples in the world and in India, also King Bhimdev Solanki's other creations, and the introduction to the Modhera Sun Temple.
The third video ( Part 3 ) shows the Sun temple in great details, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi's speech, and the conclusion.

I am planning to visit India in this summer. Thank you for sharing this interesting videos, very informative and interesting. Before Gujarat was not on my list because I heard so much about Rajasthan but after seeing your videos on Modhera I will visit Mehsana. If I have any questions can I contact you??😊
