What's this, a new video on my channel? Well, isn't that nice, I hope everyone enjoys it! If you are wondering where I have been for the past year then I've been distracted by various book writing, music making and doom mapping activities, but also I spent a few months making this video. The source footage was a film from the prelinger archives about how to have a happy marriage. Hopefully this music video expands on that subject to some degree.

Being strange and abnormal helps you see different sides of things (He "injured" me myself, so I can understand you) I wrote a long philosophical message to a person, I don't know, isn't that weird?) Source Material is called "Marriage Is a Partnership" (1951) By Coronet Instructional Films. It is available on YT. I was off by two years. Its music is reminiscent of old film reels I used to watch in elementary school during the mid 80s.

@@umamifan Yes, the first half is jazz, but we did a full album :) and it’s mostly prog, although what you put after prog (jazz, rock, classical…) depends on the song :) We don’t really care about labels really but prog is wide enough and expresses the fact that we try to create new things so it’s ok for us

Another gorgeous video from the legend himself! It's an excellent deconstruction of 50s Americana; the jazzy music itself being a woman singing about waiting for her time to come, being stuck in a loop that gets mimicked in visual form by cyriak's usual looping animation, the slow but persistent increase of violent visuals through the knives as the music gets more intense and more explicitly about betraying someone, the increasing sense of agitation and unhappiness as it goes on, the fact that the source footage was even about how to have a happy marriage... I could go on! This one is super thematically cohesive and easy to understand, as well as technically impressive with the music and animation. I've watched these videos since I was in middle school, and it's always a delight to see more content even as a grown adult.
