Light Cleric / Paladin Build Guide: Baldur's Gate 3

As requested, here is a Light Cleric / Paladin multiclass Build Guide in Baldur's Gate 3! The build I focused on is more so a caster that gets the paladin dialogue and flair, because the cleric is honestly quite powerful. You can alternatively go with five levels of Paladin, for double smites but I may do a build guide like that at a later time. I just crunched the numbers and this was the most powerful that I could come up with!
The light cleric has a lot of usefulness with the spirit guardians and wide variety of spells. The Paladin brings some useful heavy armor and weapon proficiencies. The BEST part of this build is the unique dialogue for the Cleric / Paladin multiclass.

This build in particular I feel would be really unique with a Gith, because you can choose Vlaakith as your Deity and we all know what happens at the Crèche 😅

We loot the dexterity gauntlets at the creche hahaha!! The cleric is one of the most underrated classes in this game for damage purposes, it actually brings a lot if specced right

@@JasonDunna yeah and there are so many ways to play them with all the weapon/spell access they get. Multiclassing with Druid, Monk, and Ranger (since they are Wis) can get you some really nice flexibility as well. But this build with Paladin looks interesting to play as well. I suppose it could be nice for Minthara, worshipping Lolth. 🕷️

Wait, is there any difference in outcomes at the creche if you are a cleric of vlaakith?

Hello very nice one, i was wondering if you will make a paladin 5-6 / light cleric 7-6 running around wiht spirit guardian and radiance of dawn (like a more melee character with some radian orbs debuff) but did surprise me with a more caster one !! Also doesn't reanimate dead break your paladin oath of the ancients ?

Yeah I was thinking of going that route with two attacks and spirit guardians but I may make a build like that in the future! The light cleric is just so powerful of a caster. For some reason reanimated dead doesn’t break the Oath of the ancients even though it should. But if you reanimate anyone as part of a story mission it’ll break the oath. Oathbreaker is pretty decent however

Is this the Nightsong/Moonmaiden build? I Noticed Dame Aylin uses a lot of the same spells, that deals radiant damage.

Yeah it would be very similar! Maybe I’ll have to make a Dame Aylin build in the future. I wish we could do her back breaker attack she does to Lorroakan

I wish you had options for early game stuff with these builds, like gear and stuff, its hard to plan out starting from level 1

Early game armor: Luminous armor or Adamantine Splint Armor. There’s not many good heavy armors in act 1 so use whatever you can find
