I built my own cone over 10 years ago. Your design is well designed and very fairly priced. At this price point it should be in everybody's kit. Wondering how the cone can be supported in cases where laying on a flat table is not the best option to capture an image.

I tried to build one of these a few years back and failed after quite a few attempts at a cost. It is best to have it designed by a professional photographer and for me to just buy the product already with the R&D done and just use it. With the results, the investment is worth it.

Interesting. When I started researching product tents I stumbled across these and wanted to learn more about them. Having seen parabolic microphones with a similar design I even wonder if this approach would work for DIY’ing a makeshift parabolic reflector and using some struts or fasteners to maintain the shape. Good timing.

Polished chrome kettle looks like matt chrome in the end; this acrylic sheet doesnt make sense for glossy products. It creates misleading image.

Yes you are absolutely correct, if you don't have the knowledge then you will likely only be able to create 'matt' or gradient versions of highly reflective products.
