What I love about Dom is his smooth and sexy manner with his hilarious humor What I love about Billy is his light-heartedness and his silliness. What I love about Elijah is his eyes and the way he can steal you heart away when he talks What I love about Viggo is he is so awkward and random in real life - that his characters seem more normal. He always has a serious face so you never know when he is joking. He kinda holds a dark and serious manner but really he is random, awkward, and HILARIOUS

Cripes... it's 2019 now.... I'd just like to think another set of movies will come out to rival the utter magic and good times made on and off the set like this,.... but...sadly I just don't see it happening. I am so glad they made these moves.. I took a trip to New Zealand (honeymoon), and it was just like walking into Middle Earth... Honest to god, the best 9 days of my life!!!!.... I really want to go back there one day. In the short time I was there it really had an impact on me. I can't imagine how much an impact it must have had on these guys...being there for years and working on this timeless masterpiece ... the lucky buggers :) If I ever find myself in the heights of Mt Cook again, I will raise my glass in honor to the cast and crew, of how much these movies literally changed my life.

My dad showed my siblings and I Lord of The Rings when we were young and we watched it but we didn't understand anything at all but we always laugh at the scene "Cast it into the fire.... Destroy it.... No... ISILDUR!!!" 😅😂😂 Everytime we watch the movies we laugh at that scene. I also used to be very scared of Gollum that I couldn't sleep but then I got over it. Am honestly very happy that you wouldn't see the female interviewer's butt and feet touched nor her shoulder being kissed/rubbed? while sitting on a man's lap in interviews today. People can speculate whether things proceeded with her consent or not but the fact also stands that if it did in fact happen without her consent (such as her visible surprise/ confusion/ discomfort (?) when John Rhys-Davies kisses/rubbs his nose on her shoulder) then the probability that she would interrupt the whole interview and call someone out (for instance her fellow interviewer who was not short of a cm from her butt) is truly very small. 1. Who would want to make an "uncomfortable" mood when it was all just "chill and fun", 2. She has to stay professional, and 3. Who knows how hard she had to work to actually get that job to interview THE lotr cast. The fact also stands that she is indeed a professional interviewer, not a prop, and should thus be seen as such. An interview can be chill but some lines have to be drawn, foreboding the obvious short straw that the female interviewer pulled when everything physical seemed to happen to her and not her fellow interviewer (insert the discussions for the why, which her being female is a probable factor). This was not meant to be a rant or anything just an observation from a fellow human who is truly just happy that the chance of inproper/ unwelcome touching happening, nevertheless going unnoticed or being accepted, is pretty darn low nowadays for female interviewers. This particular female interviewer might have had a blast and with her consent proceeded with everything that was happening and even initiated them, but my point is simply that if she hadn't then this interview just gets alot creepier. Some things we will never know.

Usually because the tapes age, and also at the time people were viewing stuff on smaller screens at a lower resolution. Stuff like interviews and TV footage wasn't done with high quality film like movies were. The movies translate well to modern resolutions, but other footage from the time doesn't. Even digital video at the time was done on a really low resolution, low bitrate format.

Apparently, this is from Season 4, episode 47 of FLIPSIDE, a young adult news show in New Zealand from 2002 to 2004. The interviewers are Mike Puru and Evie Ashton, and this episode was released on December 2nd, 2003. I can't find any footage, but there are summaries of the episodes on some sort of New Zealand television archive, and that one was from the day after Return of the King.
