Hey.. if you must have see. Abhishek sir's previous lectures then .. he has told us.. that in this universe no rays are parallel to each other. And when rays are coming from infinity they are so close to being parallel that we consider them to be parallel to each other. talking about your second doubt.... you can draw the ray diagrams yourself and observe... take an object near to convex lens and other far away...
