@@manya_jk7482 radius of curvature is 200 that means focal length is + 100 since it is convex mirror but the object is placed in front so its distance is -25 hence 1/ -25 + 1/v = 1/100 1/v = 1/100 - 1/ -25 -125/100 × -25 = 1/v Hence v = 20cm since it is behind the mirror

I have a question If we solve numerical ,at that time , Why we need to apply sign convention in formula ,like u= -5 cm v= 6 cm( - v/u = - (6) /(-5) ?? Because we have already use signs in derivation of formula - v/u then why sign convention is used again in values of *u* and *v* ??? Please answer confused a lot..
