I was looking up ways to make jewellery with hair like the Victorians used to do when someone died. I had the idea to use resin but I didn't know how I'm glad to find this video.

Hi Beatrix, sorry for your loss. I suggest buying a uv resin kit from Amazon as it would already have most of the stuff you would need to do this but the basics are uv resin, uv resin lamp to cure the resin, silicone mold, mica powder to tint it black and some keychain findings/supplies or necklace if that's what you want to use it for. I used some dried flowers as well which can also be bought from Amazon or you can dry them yourself.

Hello, I think it can work on human hair. The pliability of the hair also plays a part in how much you can shape it like some hair types just are harder to curl and vice versa.

Why didn’t you pour the resin and add the black direct in the mold?

Hi Scott, I find that the color will not disperse or get evenly distributed if you try to mix it in the mold rather than mixing it in another container and then pouring to the mold.

Hi Amma, preserving milk is a little harder to do but from what I read you can dry the milk until it becomes powder then you can mix with resin. Some would add preservative chemicals. I don't think I am going to invest in chemicals for preservation though so it may be a while before I make a video like that.
