If you put the hair on a bit of label backing paper and cover in the resin (USE gloves here) then cut both the hair and the paper at the same time you can get really sharp edges. Then transfer with a toothpick to your piece and cure. It will be nice and flat and save all the trimming and excess poking up Nikki

If you "pre-wet" the fur with resin before placing it in the bezel it is easier to control and you will have less bubbles.

How do you use hair that is very light in color show up?

Hello @jennyashley1971, I would likely tint the base of the pendant with black or a dark colour so light color hair would contrast well. In this video, while the dog had some light hair as well, I wanted the base to be transparent so it will still show up well against dark color clothing. Thanks for stopping by and watching the video! So what resin are you using? Also, is that simply a silicon mat?

Hi Robb, the resin I was using in this video was Frenshion UV resin bought off Amazon. I find this one in particular to be not giving off gases except if heated by a heat gun so it works well if you are just popping bubbles using a lighter. Other UV resin should also work fine. Yes, I'm just using the back of one of the silicon molds that I had that was flat and sturdy. Thanks for stopping by! Hope you liked, shared and subscribed to my channel!

@@robb961969 I have not had yellowing of the resin but I have been using Frenshion UV resin for my projects. Maybe it's the brand? I'm running low on Frenshion now and so my new projects will most likely will be using a different brand. I'll have to compare if I see yellowing.

Hi Janine, I am not sure what to advise here as I don't know what is the damage. I am assuming it's a crack to the resin? You can repour resin on top and it should seep in the cracks I think. Otherwise, maybe just reuse the bezel and create new. I have a video tutorial in how you can remove old resin from the bezel to reuse it.
