I thought all hojicha was “dark roast”. This lighter hojicha is an interesting variation. Would you mind also giving the brewing temperature in Celsius?

yes compared to Kamairicha all hojicha is a dark roast but this one is much lighter than others. We have tried a whole range of hojicha teas anywhere from almost unroasted to really dark like the Kuki Hojicha which kind of tastes like coffee. This is a very low quality tea made from the discarded leaf particles

@@Nioteas it may be, but it comes from the left parts of gyokuro and sencha, so it can be very nice and has a deep green color.
