You can use olive oil to lube the whip, works fine and usually someone has at least olive oil at camping :)

Great tutorial! I didn't even know about using silicone based lube to make my fibers slick. I will definitely be trying that. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this video series! These tips weren't around 2 years ago when I bought my whip, and I'd only heard the silicone lube tip at Day for Night 2016. Otherwise with care and maintenance I had to do my own guesswork and troubleshooting, this should help people out a ton!!

Thanks for the info.. what about vaseline? It works?
@antsonamelon Жыл бұрын
We recommend using only silicone based lubricants, specifically Swiss Navy Lube (link below). We haven't tested Vaseline, but it would likely be too thick and make the fibers sticky. The silicone lubricant will make the fibers silky smooth and flow much easier around your body.
thank you for this! so do you recommend lube, cleaning, then lube? or should lube always go after cleaning?

Cleaning your fibers in the sink with dish soap is best for removing dirt, followed by lube to keep your fibers sliding! We recommend using Silicone based lubricants - Swiss Navy brand.

My whip still looks yellowish what else can i use or am i cleaning wrong

The fibers will become worn and will accumulate some permanent discoloration over time. It's often not possible to clean the fibers so that the BitWhip looks brand new again.
