Use the plug-in hoverboard to ride on and then the cordless leaf blowers for propulsion forward. Put one on each side on a swivel.

You can always salvage a vacuum cleaner moter for the blower. The original Boy's Life plans used #10 can to duct the vaccuum cleaner output to the hovercraft.

Built one of these in high school. Used 2 leaf blowers, however we used one to fill the plastic and a second one to blow air under the plastic to create better hovering. Also added a shop fan and a spoiler to push air downward for push.
