I love the advent calendar so much! I only got into the readathon last year so I'm doing 2023 AND 2024 pick a paths this year so I've got to read a heist novel and book with a fox on the cover and need maybe 4 books to complete lightfall? Maybe 6. I forget. I'll probably finish the heist novel before lightfall, do lightfall, then tackle the fox cover one. Next year, I'll be almost caught up 😅

WELCOME! I just joined in September and I watched a few of the old announcements videos and looked through the documents in the G drive to orient myself because I was confused at first. The short answer to your question is that the 7 prompts in this video only apply to this 9 day mini reading challenge called Lightfall held every December. You don’t have to complete all prompts. You get a stamp on your Old Favour Passport for each book you complete and the passport will carry over to every future Lightfall. The longer answer is that Lightfall is only one of the reading challenges in The Magical Readathon. There are full month long challenges in April (Spring Equinox) and September (Autumn Equinox) set up like semesters in school in which our characters have to pass classes at a magical academy. There is also a year long challenge (Adventures in Aeldia) with a choice of one optional prompt each month. There is a beginners guide video linked in the description of this video if you want a more in-depth explanation from G. I hope you have fun!

I wondered that too. In last years Lightfall announcement video (time stamp 3:00) G said our character could visit the same shop more than once meaning we could fulfill the same prompt more than once. But in the updated FAQ page on the G drive it says, “Each shop can only be visited once per year.” Hm. My character is tempted to put on a robe of deception and visit the bookstore a second time but he’s too honest.
