I feel like the first half of the campaign was dynamite, but then they got sidetracked with all the strand BS, and completely forgot that they had a story to finish. It's almost like the story was sacrificed on the altar of promoting strand. Witch Queen didn't have a completely new subclass to create, so I bet they focused more on the story, which got progressively better as the team finished all the light 3.0 reworks. Maybe Strand should've been introduced in Seraph? It would've made more sense while climbing around on that infernal satellite.

I really love how the warlock melee is actually spiderman Definitely with grapple had a lower cooldown (when you're empowered it feels great but actually unlocked it's impossible to use how you want)

I dont mind because you can chain tangle grapples for great mobility. You just have a long cooldown if you use the grapple recklessly. It's got a nice skill ceiling

just an fyi, if you get the seasonal exotic bow, your "no double jumping" based challenges will be a LOT easier. The bow let's you summon crystals just by getting kills!

Well now we need a Can You Beat The Witch Queen with only Strand? No weapons (unless for crystals and whatnot), no other subclasses, just Strand abilities only. If you want to make it extra spicy, no double jumping either thanks to Grapple.

If you don't have any armor charge you'll still get melee back and if you do you'll get a bunch of melee charge back which is even more exhasterbated when putting on multiple copies of the mod and it can be even better if you slot on the mod that let's you hold more armor charges.

@@HannyaHalo Yeah but now you have to sacrifice a ton of extra mod slots just to get the same benefit you used to get from one. And on top of that, the secondary perk that used to give ammo back for getting kills with close quarters weapons while surrounded is gone. Reduced to atoms. The new mod system is just objectively worse now, and so much build variety has been destroyed. It’s heartbreaking. 😔

You can get about the same amount with just 2 stacks of Melee Kickstart which is 6 energy aka less than Heavy Handed and it's only 2 slots, that's not a ton and you can make it even better than Heavy Handed if you invest into bonus armour charge. We lost some variety but to say it's worse is outlandish. There is way more potential in this new system since a lot of mods have been streamlined or had their costs heavily reduced allowing for lots of mix and matching.

I know I'm late to the party but I been to busy playen to enjoy the watchen! But I come to the comments regardless to say to the poor soul missing heavy handed that it does very much still exist, they just condensed all those types of mods (firepower and what not) into the kickstart mods, so now to get that effect you'll have to run 2 kickstarts + 1 what is now called heavy handed (spawn an orb on punch kill) on the arms, then run something like stacks on stacks on ones legs to get 2 stacks of armor charge from picking up an orb. You'll get like 20-40% of your energy back depending on armor charge when used (and you'll still get a bump even without any stacks) and if you couple that with the restoration Mod on legs, the orb pick up itself will give energy to your least charged ability, keeping one further topped off. this can be done with grenades with 2 grenade kick starts and a firepower on the arms and so on, but yeah. The power is there, one just has to *rreaadddd*! But that's for fu%$ing NERDS like myself so uhh...have at thee! (and keep up the banger content!) (and yes I know it's a literal day one video just putting this here in case it's needed for anybody looking at it as late as me).

Losing the +20 mobility from a mod slot on my hunter ruined my build so hard. It single handedly let me have max resilience with high discipline and high mobility. And it's gone. Look how they massacred us hunters 🥲 Now im a warlock with a cloak and triple jump
