You should be a writer at Bungie. I'm happy people enjoyed this dlc but for me it proved to me how much bungie strives for mediocrity. The literally bring back cayde via a dragonball wish just to kill him off again in the laziest "sad" ending. They also turned Zavala into a huge baby whose idiocy gets his own ghost killed, making him even more useless. Also the amount of reskinned assets in this dlc is more than shadowkeep which I find to be insane. Prismatic should have been free since it's literally just abilities we have already paid for. Bungie will never change

@ Sure! I personally think it's about using abstract vs concrete words. For example, in the dramatic part towards the end of the video (which is awesome) around 10:55: instead of "families torn apart... friends who will never make it home". The idea is perfect but the way you put it doesn't help me picture anything, because "family torn apart" is very abstract and sounds generic. Instead, you could picture a young helldiver reading a letter from his mom (complete with small details that make us close to the diver and interested in him) and fist-bumping a fellow fighter. Then, Make us see a scene where the friend sees him die horribly. The movie "nothing new on the western front" is a great example of this: we always say that war is terrible, but the movie SHOWS you how terrible it is. Purple prose means putting a lot of words in series but not achieving much. It often happens with descriptions where too ornate language is used when not needed. Like describing a window in a very sophisticated way. An over abundance of adjectives and/or adverbs is a good indicator of purple prose.
