When she said "I want to make a garden out of you" the immediate picture I had was that from the movie Annihilation where people decomposed into weird alien flora.

Never saw that, but I thought of the book, "Speaker for the Dead" by Orson Scott Card. It's part of the Ender Quintet (Ender's Game). There was an indigenous race of semi-human creatures that did ritual rites when one of them was ready to ascend. Reminded me of this.

I love cosmic horror, and the description of the antagonist was a refreshing change from the more usual horror tropes, and especially of what she claimed to be. Talk about a moment when you need the Sailor Scouts! I loved the beautiful visuals you included as well, and your voice, as smooth as butter, like always. Thanks for sharing.

That is a great story, I once dreamed many years ago that I went to mars in an old rocket, upon landing there I met a leprechaun or a gnome, I asked him if he wanted to come back to earth, he said yes, once we landed back on earth and exited the rocket, I was holding him in my hand en he said "thank you so much! It is such a beautiful world!", he turned into a butterfly and flew away, I woke up and it made me feel happy.

I'm embarrassed. I thought I caught a error when he mentioned he could see the sun from the far side of the moon. Sixty three years old and I just found out that the dark side of the moon isn't dark at all. But after I thought about it for a minute it was obvious that even though the moon doesn't have rotation all of the moon except for craters on the poles are lit by the sun for two weeks at a time. I just never really thought about it. Thank you to all my science teachers for failing to mention that one in twelve years of bloody science lessons. But jokes on you Mrs Bogor, Pluto isn't even a planet! Hah!

The moon does have rotation. It rotates on its axis at the same rate that it orbits the Earth, meaning the same face is always towards the planet.

I predicted the hitch a ride back to Earth thing, but my only problem is, he knew she was on there, he knew she was bad news, yet he still decided his life was more important instead of finding a way to disable the systems and killing himself and her chance to escape. I mean cmon, after she literally said time to go, i wouldn’t even try to go back home, basic containment.
