Incredible for 1984, so this engine went into the 288 GTO (395hp), GTO Evoluzione (650hp), F40 (470hp) & F40LM & Competizione (700+hp) which were still competing a decade later in the mid-90’s

The one of the Rossi family (heirs of the Martini liquor empire) is a story to fill entire books. It all started back in the mid 1800’s. These Martini Racing cars have so much history infused in them. I rally hope that this ones either goes back to Manfredo Rossi hands or someone that will preserve it. So sad Lancia never had the means to go back and reclaim all these racing cars and put them on display for us mortals to contemplate

I did laugh as one of the 4 headlamps failed at 08:05, but what an amazing thing. I certainly wouldn't want to try driving that in those conditions!

@@patrickopresi The S4 was a Group B WRC car for 2 years... Meh. The Stratos has a list of more diverse events and several wins, including 3 WRC wins in a row (1974, 75 and 76), Won 1974 Targo Floria, and won Tour De France 5 times. That and it revolutionized rally because it was the first new ground-up design and had major success. The Stratos is the ultimate rally icon.🤗

@@patrickopresi Nothing I said was "just numbers".. It was achievement and changing rally forever. Try reading what I said. The Stratos won numerous prestigious rallies over several years, and revolutionized rally forever, by having the first new ground-up design and fot it to have the success it did. You speak out of feelings lol, like a woman does. The S4 didn't accomplish anything special. Whether you like it or not doesn't change facts. Unrivaled achievements the Stratos accomplished are not " just numbers" and you sound dumb after saying that lol.

3.0 liters V8! I'm always amazed at how small these engines are, for V8s, and how much power they make, truly wonderful things. And what an amazing car this is, I might be old, but I have no feeling whatsoever for modern overly technological hyper cars, the feeling I get is that of an over priced smart phone with a cool car attached. And by the way, so sad Lancia is no more, maybe for the better, as it's memory is thst of an actual car company producing actual cars, but still..

why do people, even professional commentators, incorrectly pronounce Lancia. It’s not pronounced Lansia or Lanchia, but ‘LANCHA’ the C&I make the CH sound.
