Hey Gee, I use lazy Susan's, or spinners, all over my house. To keep them from moving I put the silicone rubber cabinet shelf liner under them. Here they come in 6 ft x 12 in rolls at the dollar tree. Anything rubber or silicone should keep the spinner in place.

Hello! So in Egypt we dont have either version of floetrol, so in my recipe im using a pouring medium by ArtBox Supplies, but you can use either version of floetrol to create the same effect

Thanks Sandy! The Oil based stuff cannot be used as a pouring medium, but couple of drops of it in US floetrol makes a for a decent replacement for Australian floetrol

@@sandycummins2256 there is no scenario where you need the water based wood conditioner. Minwax is a company not a product. They also make polycrylic, a water-based varnish. That is what you could use in a PM.

@@sandycummins2256 no, theres really no need to mix varnish and floetrol. You can use floetrol by itself for most pours, including a dutch pour. No need for varnish. In a bloom theres three different recipes. First the pillow, which is house paint. you need a medium thats thicker than floetrol for the colors. So you use untinted house paint and varnish. also in a bloom, the final layer is called a cell activator - thats where you use floetrol and minwax. You can also make a CA with just Amsterdam paint and water.

@@GeePours Yes, I prepare a recipe that is Floetrol, paint, a little PVA and a few drops of Minvax PreStain, but I still do not get the results that I see you or Sheldon, will it be a problem with the pillow, perhaps?

The pillow doesn’t really affect the reaction, its just a layer the paint sits on. If its too think the paint sinks in it. If its too thick it doesn’t spread well when you tilt or spin. Okay so for me, what is really important is what paint I use directly under the cell activator. cheap paints dont react at all for me, while everything reacts on my arteza paints
