Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII - Bhunivelze+ [Hard Mode]

Back Again with a simple but effective strategy for beating Bhunivelze+ (his alternate/stronger version) on Hard Mode.
First off, you're gonna need certain ablities to make this fight much shorter and easier. I'm only gonna list what's absolutely necessary, I'll put my full setup down below for those who want to see exactly which abilities, accessories and garbs I used.
Imperil, Deshell, Deprotect and some 2nd level spells like Aerora and Thundara are needed (1st level spells can be used too but 3rd level aren't recommended because they don't fill up the stagger bar as fast as the first two). Heavy Guard, Heavy Slash and Blitz are also needed.
For the First two phases, where he switches back and forth between his physical attacking and his magical attacking, you're gonna want to keep your distance and continue to spam 2nd level (or 1st level) spells at him but before you do that you wanna cast Imperil and deshell on him. This will make the fight a bit shorter and easier for you.
You don't need to have a guard ability on every schema, just having it on one will still work unless you're running out of ATB quickly then equipping the Equilibrium+ garb will help with that. The schema that has guard should ONLY be for guarding attacks and physical attacks like Heavy Slash and Blitz which are used in the Last form and to kill off the Monad balls, it should not have any magic spells on it, the other two garbs should be for that.
The Monad Balls are the 3 balls that Bhuni casts before he uses the Wings of Destruction spell which can cause a ton of damage and probably kill you if you don't destroy the Monad balls quickly enough. Using Blitz on them when they're all close together will destroy them fast before they explode on you.
The Final Form should be the same as the original Bhunivelze form and shouldn't cause too many problems but if it does or there's anything else you need help with, just ask and I'll do my best to help you out.
Trust me, I was stuck on this boss for a VERY long time, I understand how much of a pain in the ass it can be...

Schema 1 -
Garb= Knight of Etro (Free Slots for any Abilites I want)
Weapon= Buster Sword (High Atk & Increased Stagger Power)
Shield= Guardian's Protector (Get Brave & Faith after guarding for a little bit)
Accessories= Orichalc Matinee Necklace (+20000 HP)
Enlister's Gloves (Increased up close damage)
Abilities=
Heavy Slash Lv.Max
Heavy Guard Lv.Max
Blitz Lv.5
Punt Lv.Max
Schema 2 -
Garb= Guardian Corps (Free Slots)
Weapon= Chaos' Revenge (For Faster Stagger)
Shield = SOLDIER's Band (+20000 HP)
Accessories= Devil Crest (Increase Magic & HP by 10% each)
Lucky DIce (Sometimes Negates attacks)
Abilities=
Thundara Lv.5
Deprotect Lv.Max
Imperil Lv.Max
Blizzara Lv.Max
Schema 3 -
Garb= Equilibrium+ (For Faster ATB recovery)
Weapon= Izanami (For Magic Boost)
Shield= Cleopatra's Praise (For Magic Boost)
Accessories= Strahl Charm (For Faster ATB Recovery)
Sniper's Gloves (More damage from far away)
Abilites=
Aerora Lv.Max
Deshell Lv.Max
Attack Lv.4 (Locked)
Fira Lv.Max

+Marcus Eagland The Easy and Normal Mode version of this guy isn't as hard, he has different forms on Hard Mode. If you're trying to get better abilities then just grind them out in the Wildlands and Desert. It's much harder to get high level abilities on easy mode tho, one of the only perks of playing on harder difficulties in this game is higher level abilities

Best play on normal for new game and then play hard mode on new game + kinda sucks that after u unlock hard mode u cant play hard mode on new game only in new game +
