I love my Mega Drive and Tunder Force IV music, but your version is AWESOME!!!!

That small lag at 0:09 is due to the SNES not having blast processing.
@blueelectric054 ай бұрын
Jokes aside but the slowdown is intentional as the original also slows down a bit in that part
@inceptional4 ай бұрын
What happened to the Genesis version then--talking about the actual game--because there's a lot of slowdown and stutter there? I presume they didn't turn on Blast Processing for this particular title on the system.
@blueelectric054 ай бұрын
Tbh slowdown on the music sounds like they're intentionally made in the original as the vgm file for it also has the slowdown.

@@inceptional True. I prefer the PAL version, as it doesn't slow down as much.

@@zabustifu One of the benefits of PAL in general on these old consoles I guess, at least when taken proper advantage of.

Excellent. Gritty but still with a unique SNES flavour. 20 kb left over? Fantastic.

Yeah, I'm much getting better at optimizing samples now and trying my best not to cross 50kb

@@blueelectric05 I hope to see more fruits of your labor soon. Can we expect more TF4 music from you in the future?

Nice SNES cover of the song!😄🤩😎👌

This song sounds like a mix of E1M1 from Doom along with the songs from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles made by Konami :)

Awesome remix! Sounds like a heavy rock song from the 80's or something from Doom. I especially like that guitar sample in Lightning Strikes Back.

dude. how. this is amazing
@joaonitro51494 ай бұрын
like not only is your sample usage sublime but also the way you pan the instruments makes everything sound so full
@blueelectric054 ай бұрын
Thanks but the pan is also based on the original too

You made a incredible cover bro! Can you made stand up against myself for Snes?
@inceptional4 ай бұрын
If this is how it all would sound coming from an actual SNES, very nice. Think maybe the guitars could have done with a wee bit more volume relative to the other instruments in the Lightning Strikes Again tracks though, at least to my ears. But I'm no musician, so just going on gut there and also the fact I noticed they're definitely lounder next to the other instruments in the original. Still sounds great here regardless, and maybe even better in some ways. :)
@blueelectric054 ай бұрын
Yeah I should've increase the guitar volume more but I don't want it to clip since the samples are quite bassy
@inceptional4 ай бұрын
@@blueelectric05 Yeah, I have no idea how any of this works, so don't know the things you have to do to even get it to sounds this good. And it sounds great, even if I'm being nitpicky. Lol

I tried to make it as realistic as possible instead of just sampling the original fm guitar
