I've been "daily driving" the Turtle Wax to the Max wax + flex wax for almost 2 years now. I was perfectly happy with the results that I got with the system. However, I have some factors at play in my life: -car is 100% outside all the time -I have to wash my car at a DIY wash (I lug all my products/equipment with me. I only use the pressure washer + DI water) I found though, over time, even though the Max wax + flex wax combo isn't BAD to apply, it's not the easiest ever. Going at the max wax with my damp towel + dry, I find myself having to carry around a bunch of towels. It's a balance of product on panel, towels, dampness of towel, etc. to get the finish to come out just the way I want. I just recently picked up the Collinite Beadcoat and I'm exciting to give it a go. If I can get ~60% of the durability/chem resistance of TW Max Wax in the Beadcoat I'll be ELATED. It seems like the ease of use is through the roof compared to a majority of the products out there - I feel the flex wax/seal and shine products were close though.
@ForensicDetailing
@ForensicDetailing 5 ай бұрын
i think you should get more durability hopefully. And maintain it with slickr. and your car will always have the zing. but for me the way this goes on is what I like. application is important

@@ForensicDetailing Jon, will I get the same gloss pop that "to the Max wax + flex wax" gives vs with Collinite Beadcoat and Slickr, if so, the application is going to be much easier. Of course I am talking about with a finsh polish before applying TW or Collinite
@ForensicDetailing
@ForensicDetailing 5 ай бұрын
hmm probably mate. ultimately with gloss its about having fresh highly refine clearcoat so the physical or base gloss is maximised. thats the key. there are product differences. but if you have capped out base gloss then it wont matter to much.

@@ForensicDetailing Update. 2-step paint correction + gyeon prep. First impressions? It feels like, after how easy it goes on and comes off, there's NO way this is going to do anything haha. I just have to trust the process and see the performance for myself. I do have to say, I wish it was a little slicker under hand. It doesn't give you that nice glassy feel you get with paste/liquid waxes - I do miss that. If I walked up to a car with this applied, and felt it with my hand, I'd second guess myself if there was actually anything on the panel at all. I just placed an order for the detailer.

I don't like using toppers on my ceramic coated with Mohs garage queen, I want to see pure raw coating performance, plus they are expensive and change the characteristics often in a negative way (mask them or straight diminish them) and may haze the finish if used to often - but I experiment with some of them on my daily with cancoat evo applied. So far my go to and the one I'm testing is Gyeon Ceramic QD, and I must say it destroys me on the gloss and slickness front, so I can see the appeal (especially if the car is bare)
@ForensicDetailing
@ForensicDetailing 6 ай бұрын
you make a good point. If the coating is the best tech then it should be the only material you want on the car. however the coating performance (the zzzing the schizzzzle) does tail off so spraying a ceramic QD keeps the bling strong :)

@victoryensured7137 6 ай бұрын
@@ForensicDetailing :) the schizzzzle :) - that's soo true John, my coating is fairly new (applied in june) still the slickness (the zzzing) is getting a little low, just a tad but still, and on my daily Cancoated one the zziingg is almost gone, but the schizzzzle (gloss) is still there thankfully :) still topers have thier place, i might use them a little more after the characetristics diminish (i don't want to think about this sad day John...) Also i really like watching your vids, there is something in the tone of your voice, your chill vibe, and your lack of detailing instagram let's call it ,,charm" and more being down to earth that i really enjoy mate! Hi FD, a question I can’t find an answer to: I purchased a car that was ceramic coated a couple of years ago, but has been in a collection and hardly used, so the ceramic should still be very active. However, it’s not as glossy as I would expect (or see on other cars without ceramic). I’ve tried hand polishing and the Collinite Sealer, but I think I need to machine polish to get the finnish I’m looking for. What product would you recommend for DA machine polishing over ceramic coatings that doesn’t degrade the ceramic but would enhance the shine. Thanks for any responses.

The beading is crazy good, but I'm finding when it rains, then the sun comes out, I have white spots all over the car and it needs washing again. So I'm thinking beading is causing more of a problem? Anybody out there who can help me to find the most slickest qdetailer or sealant on the market? Love some glosness and a little bit protection but slikness is more important to me. These are the products i'm using, rating from best to worse; TW hybrid solutions ceramic spray ( best slickness but most difficult to use) TW pure shine mist detailer (most easy to use product but less slickness) Gyeon qdetailer TW seal & shine Sonax bsd Probably all very good products and maybe i'm expecting to much but there must be some better things on the market. Suggestions are most welcome!😊
