Started this build up and it feels very good and sooo tanky. I leveled with maelstorm until I could get wearbear and then went a cold wearbear setup until monos. Once I got the crystal swords and about level 12-14 on all the abilities this build started to really shine! Thanks for the content you put out, good work!

Really appreciate all these small channels popping up left and right recently for LE (game deserves it). I especially love these super informative and in-depth ones with concise breakdowns and explanations for each section. Also really shows how deep the buildcrafting can actually go. I was debating between Swipe Werebear or Earthquake Werebear for my second character on 0.9. This video pushed me towards the former. I'm also pretty sure we're gonna get a more dedicated Earthquake/Fury Leap + Bhuldar's Wrath build once Shaman is reworked eventually anyway. Thumbs up for the video regardless, easy sub for me!

You should check out the cold dot werebear build. It's similar to this but swaps fury leap for entangling roots and does cold damage instead of lightning. One of my favorite builds of any arpg.

This is similar to what I started the game with a few weeks ago. Good starting build too because there are really no req'd uniques. I use summon spriggan instead of leap though because of all the crazy buffs, though he can be annoying to keep alive/rez during bosses. I think leap does look interesting though and I can see it being more viable at very high corruption if the spriggan can't be kept alive. Thanks for all your great builds!

Note that some of the Fury Leap effects applied to maul through Skull Crusher don't actually work. It definitely doesn't give you frenzy but the "Warrior's Entrance" subskill doesn't seem to work either. It appears to be an invisible buff though, so it's quite hard to tell. Edit: A lot of people have actually mentioned this, so in order to provide something constructive, I've moved the points over to Crushing Impact for now. Basically guarantees a long stun, although that's kind of redundant on this build... Maybe Savage Impact for a straight damage buff or Brutal Impact for the critical hit multiplier would work too. Hopefully they fix it soon.

This build is awesome, currently Im only a lv 85 noob but Im face tank speed running T4 dungeons with no Legendary gear, highly recommend Foot of the Mountain shoes, it turns all the stacked dodges into Endurance Threshold, it can turn your entire HP bar into Threshold.

Having Dodge is better than Endurance Threshold, especially since we already get 30% of Max HP as Threshold. We can get 2000+ dodge rating on this build which gives 50%+ dodge chance, and works for the whole HP pool. For example, if you had 4k HP with 1.2k Threshold, adding 2k Threshold to that is much less value than Dodge. Also, you lose the big Fire Res roll and other stats like sealed Dodge from Solarum Greaves and the Mountain boots need LP to get good movement speed. In addition, the Mountain buff only applies when not moving.

Thanks! That's a pretty good idea, I could a short section about leveling. For this build, I leveled it just as is, so I used the same skills as in endgame. To do that you need a bunch of leveling uniques for damage like Stormhide Paws, Vipertail, Darkstride and Harthenon's Vow into Storm Breaker. I used these items until I could equip my two swords. For new characters without access to uniques, or for HC characters, it's best to use a Druid leveling guide. You can find really good ones on Maxroll for example.

The immunity, pull and cooldown recovery nodes still work for Maul. Not getting Skullcrusher doesn't make or break the build though, if you want to use those 4 points for something else of course you can do it.

Shred is basically always the best as long as you hit fast enough to stack it. We already have a good amount of %increase, 600%+ on the starter planner in Werebear. Having Shred also gives you the option to drop some Attunement for Strength on your gloves and ring, since you're not fully relying on the Attunement stacking.

Could you explain the relic lightning penetration compared to what the shred blessing does? Does the penetration and lightning shred do different things? I remember reading that enemies dont have resistence unless specified in the health bar tag like "takes reduced lightning damage" is that accurate, it was from over a year ago. Shred reduces resistance per stack by 5% vs non-bosses and 2% vs bosses, it stacks up to 10 times. Each stack lasts 4 seconds. Penetration doesn't need to be applied, it's not an ailment like Shred. Shred and penetration are additive with each other. For example, if you have 5 stacks of Shred vs a non-boss enemy (25% total) and 25% penetration, their resistance will be reduced by 50%. Enemies usually don't have resistance, but resistance can go negative causing them to take increased damage.

Just a warning for people. Until you get 78 (when you can equip relic) and have a good crit rating, this build may not be the best to play. Damage is pretty low and you will not generate enough rage to stay in werebear. However, when you do get level 78 with relic/gear, it starts to feel good. Paitence is key.

Finest druid build i've ever tried , and i tried some . Tanky as a rock and able to resume huge packs with efficient DPS . Talking of DPS , i eneded up trying some unique weapons and opted for Alluvion unique's sword , brings the best DPS with this build , unless you have an idea of a better dps provider as a unique ? Hey! I have been following a mix of maxroll guide + ur guide, as i found the uniques very interesting. A few questions come to my mind tho. Are you good to go with Stormhide paws with less than 4LP? Im rocking 1LP right now and the loss of attackspeed from gloves seems punishing, but having the final setup of resistances is pretty comfortable. Also, i have been looking for some info of the interaction of shred + penetration, as we have a ton of both. At 40 attunement we have 92% penetration and with max lightning shred its another 50% on top of that. Is not better to have less attunement and some more crit chance / multiplier in any way? Hope you can answer and we can talk about this or something, tyvm!!! Your guides are nuts :)

whats the point of dual wielding? a good twohanded Odachi is as good as 2 katanas and u dont take the extra damage, can u explain why u went for that rout? a little bit extra atackspeed?

The biggest difference is that one-handed swords can roll increased dodge rating on the suffix, up to 66% at T5 so you get up to 132% increased dodge from two swords. Crystal Sword is a very strong base, fast attack rate with 100% increased damage and 16% inc atk speed.

I did get an idol that has increase critical strike chance for lightning skills, is swipe now considered a lightning skill? I equipped the idol but my swipe dps tooltip didn't increase. As always thank you for answering my dozens of questions and everyone else's as well. Have you noticed Lightless Arbor root walls not giving rage back? I deplete 99% of my rage if not all of it during that first phase getting through the walls. Other than that, no rage issues. I even considered removing the bringer of storms node from werebear for another point in rage on hit but I think those walls just don't give anything back

The root walls in Arbor are considered normal enemies, which means Invigoration from Werebear doesn't work for rage generation. If you're hitting tanky normal enemies for a long time, you will run out of rage eventually. If you want more rage generation vs those enemies, you can invest more points into Frenzied Strikes in Werebear.

We are doing full lightning damage on this build, so phys% does nothing. If you add flat physical from a weapon, it will still apply though but flat lightning is much stronger because we are scaling lightning damage. The conversion nodes on Swipe convert the base damage to lightning and removes the physical tag, which means your adaptive melee damage on weapon bases will be lightning also. %Increased elemental damage works for lightning, fire and cold.

We want to use swords for the build especially because we get dodge rating on swords. Crystal Sword is a very strong and fast base. Also we have so much lightning penetration on the build that the one on Crescent Axe wouldn't do much.

Liking this build. Although, I feel I have hit a rut. I may just not be doing the most efficient methods but I feel that my damage is lacking. The survivbility is nuts. A lot of attacks I can just face tank and not even care. I was doing the Cold DoT Werebear but I felt so squishy in that. Changed to this and pretty much the meatiest of hits kill me. Any advice of a good way to progress? I have the weapons, ring and relic, and of course, all pieces can use upgrades. Not sure what to prioritize upgrading damage wise. Also, very noobish at the crafitng. Pretty sure I just waste mats and forge potential on items that I shouldn't or could make very good but go about it wrong.

You can farm the Idol echo rewards in monolith to get Idols, that's the best way. There's also the Idol drop rate blessing in the first timeline but I wouldn't take that over the unique drop rate blessing.

I have a stormcarved with T5 crit. What are your thoughts on an exalted relic with damage leech with either +3 or 4 swipe or T6/7 Mana roll, right res and some crit strike multi or something? I know the lightning pen isn't super important since we have a good amount and we're mainly using it for res/mana

I would just use Stormcarved especially if you have it with crit, unless you have an extremely good exalted +4 Swipe relic with crit multi on a resistance base for example. Of course Stormcarved with +Swipe would be BIS.

Hey man do you have any experience playing this build on low life/ward per missing health with cleaver solution? This way you would get the 100% more melee damage all the time while getting like 15k+ ward

Yep, I've played the LL Swipe version quite a bit, it's very strong but needs infinitely more gear than the HP version. It's possible to reach 25k+ stable ward with insane gear. The only thing the HP version will have over it is the high leech. Physical Swipe seems more suited for LL since Cleaver has a bunch of physical on it and you won't have much attunement, but you could still go lightning of course. Damage felt pretty much the same as my HP Lightning Swipe, though my Cleaver is pretty bad etc. I'm quite certain the LL version would be better in arena, but I haven't tested it there cause I haven't been able to get all the gear for it. With LL you'll be always regenerating but no leech, so you'd play a bit differently in arena. Instead of trying to always leech and be aggressive, if you are in trouble you'd run away to get ward back up. Planner I made for LL: www.lastepochtools.com/planner/5BxX3anB

You can do base 100 corruption content with just two good swords and the uniques. So using the bear set is fine, you will just be less tanky.

I just picked up that Meteor Belt yesterday. I am level 73, and trying to follow this as best as I understand it; I'm only on my 2nd week of playing LE. Is there any reason not to use that belt right now? I am a long way from actual end game. It's a fun item and procs a ton. Just curious is that is hindering me more than helping with this build?

The meteor belt looks cool but it's not sustainable in the slightest, even more so when you don't have access to the skilltree. You can choose between looking cool or doing damage and quality of life...believe me I wanted to be a damage dealing, meteor calling bear too but you would be a meteor calling, rageless bear doing inferior damage

also, why not put a spriggan or bear in your pre-transform bar? things like warcry and maelstrom are "passive" in this build no?

Here is a video idea that i would TOTALLY watch. It's obvious that werebear is the beast. but do a comparison in monolith clearing speed or/and survivavbility within the monoliths, and whatever else you can think to say. which is better. "last epoch lightning swipe vs cold DoT Werebear"

hi. im new and i have stupid question. How u get your maelstrom working so long when u are werebear. And also how about warcries, do you go off werebear form and use cry and go back for bear? how does this skills works

We have a % chance to proc Maelstrom on hit with Swipe while in Werebear. Warcry/Roar gives +4 Maelstrom stacks per use.
