Wow! Over 15,000 views. This is my most viewed storm footage. Thank you everyone. I'm glad you've enjoyed it! I had a lot of fun filming this storm.
@dwightstewart71816 жыл бұрын
Why don't you put a wind muffler on your microphone so we can hear the storm instead of the noise distortion of your microphone? Absent that noise, I'd say this was a fairly normal storm with fairly normal winds.

St.Charles guy here- I sat on the porch calling my friend in her basement telling her it's just a severe thunderstorm, no rotation or anything of the sort. She was scared shitless (rightfully so) and I was enjoying the well-lit storm. *It's important to note that we rarely get tornados in northern Illinois, once in a blue moon at most.

That second bolt was so close. The slight jump was to be expected when the thunder came. Great job keeping your composure and not oohing and aahing at every bolt of lightning. That is one of my biggest pet peeves with thunderstorm videos just let mother nature do her own magic without narration and making noises during every exciting moment

I was gonna go swimming at some place in either Lake in the Hills or Crystal Lake, and apparently this storm appeared so we had to stay in my car until it was over and when we went to my uncles house we ended up swimming in a huge water puddle in the ground by a playground xD

I live in Tucson Arizona and last year during the monsoon we had a storm like this with really close lightning. It was insane. Sounded like bombs were going off in my neighborhood lol I even saw sparks flying off something across the street

Was the rest of the video too obscure as far as the audio goes? If not, could you upload the 20 minute long video, or would you rather not? It's okay either way. Again, thanks for uploading this.

On the Doppler radar, it looked like the storm had rotation, because it had a hook echo.

If that storm didn't produce a tornado then it missed a great chance. You were definitely in the inflow winds, and the storm was beginning to rotate.

Dude! I really hope you'll be able to capture more of those, but can you find somewhere under cover outside to capture those? The wind is ruining the audio quality. Also, the audio could be better in true stereo, but I especially love that thunder. It's too bad that the wind was (uh, blowing away) the sounds of the thunder and rain. Please, please; be safe out there. Thanks a lot.
