2 things I’d like to see would first be for Adobe to allow us to use personal NASs for our own LR cloud, as I already own a NAS and want to use what I own and not pay for someone else’s storage service. Second would be for a better LR mobile to Classic workflow. I’d love to be able to travel with just my ipad, pull all my photos into LR, rename them to my standard naming system (cant do), keyword them (doesn’t sync with classic), do some basic editing, and then offload them to my NAS, where my catalogue updates and any of my devices could access them… including from home with Classic.

From the looks of it, Adobe is just doing whatever it can to meet the base line needs and at the same time trying to keep the new innovations that were already in the pipeline, included. What they really need to do is survey actual use cases and then working out some sort of priority score for what people actually want.

Yes Lightroom CC is overlapping with Lightroom Classic, especially when it comes to local storage which Lightroom CC couldn't do before the update, but to say that Lightroom CC is the new evolution, I'm sorry but I disagree. Lightroom Classic still does more than Lightroom CC can.

On one hand LrC certainly does more but when I looked at it the pros outweighed the cons on switching. Not having to deal with catalogs anymore and having my best stuff available to me in the cloud is really really valuable. Do I care that I don't have as much metadata available to me? Not really.
