I am so happy to see the truck back, one reason is because you and Brown work on that, to make it GREAT!!!
@adammamayek62377 күн бұрын
Waylon definitely DO NOT let the bags hang without support of some kind. The chain is a good idea ! You can take the bottom bag bolt out so the bag will still be in there ,an hold the truck up but separate when being lifted . Put the bolt back in when done of course! But the limiter chains are a a good idea. Lowriders use them also!

Wow, the addition of the "eyes" is an amazing touch. Love the copper tail pipe. I hope to get see 2000 more of you videos. Thank you
@lateefcarrere16497 күн бұрын
You're going to have to set up a wildlife camera for those occasional visits...that was a great elk sighting. Giving the Ram "eyes" was a natural progression of the Dodgillac's comeback in my opinion, along with the new tailpipes. But I wouldn't change the support chains, because I think they're meant to support weight under compression only. They are going to stretch in the course of driving, but I don't think they are meant to hold the rear axle if you lift the entire truck. P.S. If anyone suggests paint, tell them "it is already, but thanks anyway"😁
@1963impala2drWaylonWire7 күн бұрын
haha i know what the chains are meant to do. I put them there! haha.. my question was can the bags handle that weight but I'm not going to risk it

I am very fond of the unpainted look. Gives a look of being “individual, special or how you want it to be”. It is your putting your mark on it...I like this in a build like this. Yep..there are so many people that just don’t get it. But all things said and done ..”Waylon, you march to a different drumbeat” 😊😊

Enjoyed the video Ken. The amber Ram eyes really set it off. What a cool idea and the chrome and copper exhaust tips look great too. Wow, what an amazing site to see an Elk that close up and it didn't seem afraid of you at all. It would take a lot of work to get the patina in a paint job like you already have. Be safe and God bless.

I had to do some 'dent work' shortly after I bought my car.... a 1997 Chevy Lumina. I did what I could with a demolition bar, and a hammer..... and pliers, and vise grips and I even replaced a broken headlight lens assembly soon after, I bought the car in Fort Madison from a car lot for $999.00 knowing the headlight was broken due to the fender getting a hit and the fuel lines leaked (That cost me $532.00.). It ain't pretty, but.... it ain't a rat rod, either, my daily driver, so to speak. It gets me around, when I need it to. Just replaced the serpentine belt on it today.✌

Surely the question can be asked of the air bag supplier...., "What is the maximum recommended extension"? if there is a "half link" difference, move the chain anchors.
@davidh48737 күн бұрын
The tail pipes look great. The chains on the suspension I think is a good idea. I have never built one with air bags but here around Chicago we see a lot of low riders and they all seem to have the chains on them. The Elk looked like an amazing 10 pointer he had to be a pretty big boy for sure. I personally have never built a rat rod. But I am planning on giving it a whirl after I finish my 55. I really like the finish you used on this one kinda looks rusty and shiny at the same time.
