It seemed like a lovely evening, the natural light looked fantastic especially when you was on the beach area, overcast but didn't look gloomy and depressing like it can sometimes do at this time of year. The sea sounded lovely, so gentle and calm on this occasion. And of course the variety of birds on the beach, seagulls, starlings and what I think you called an oyster catcher, they always make me laugh as they tend to run up the beach away from the waves and then back again, those ones are always fun to watch.

Theres roadworks on prom mate ,and our town has always been cursed mostly ,north to south of the town because of happy campers mainly ,just going slowly along the prom just sightseeing mainly ,when they would be much better off parking up and walking ,the other big thing that changed blackpools main north to south ,south to north via the prom that used to be a duel carriageway,which obviously made a massif difference to us .
@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool10 ай бұрын
I think doing away with the 4 lanes on the busy section was a backwards move along with dismantling the bridge over the road.
@mickharrison900410 ай бұрын
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool yeah your absolutely rite mate ,around 15 years ago I was driving a cab and having that ,second lane at least gave you a chance to get about but obviously though the prom ,is an A road under Lancashire county council blackpool council have ,decided to virtually make it a living car park especially in summer and spring ,when the horse and carriage s come out in numbers pure carnage ,for locals because especially going north to south trying to get through town ,on to park Rd or white gate drive is ridiculous most of the time ,coming along north prom towards north pier at times is out of this world ques ,don't forget before they upgraded trams you used to be able to sneak ,past slow drivers along the tramlines by the metropoll hotel obviously now ,it's sealed off for trams now the prom from north pier to south of pleasure beach ,is a no go zone and obviously apart from all the zebra crossings ,when it's busy imbeciles stop to let pedestrians over the prom at other points too 😂

Drones are ace Stephen. Don’t forget the CAA restrictions around the Airport though. On the Prom, you can’t fly south of central pier I think as the oil rig Helicopters are coming in often. Like Frank has, you are fine north central pier. On my other channel, I filmed the illuminations by Drone but could only do it from the Tower north.

On the plus side, that horrible wind break is gone, the starlings End of the Pier Show is on for another month. A nice time for locals to enjoy restaurants that are often too busy in the summer. I can see why you don't like that building next to the Tower building. When was it built? I don't remember the C&A building. Maybe I was too busy looking at the sea to take notice of it. I first came to Blackpool in the 90s on a day trip from London, on the 5 November, I think the year the Big One opened at the Pleasure Beach. Didn't see much of the Illuminations because our train departed North Station at 6pm. But I loved my few hours by the sea. It was a shame they demolished that lovely old theatre it must have been beautiful. But we're very lucky to have the Tower and its beautiful ballroom, unlike New Brighton who lost their tower and ballroom. Even though I'm not that interested in ballroom dancing I could spend hours in the ballroom with my highlight seeing the Wurlitzer rise up out of the floor.

Lewis's was deconstructed about 25 years ago into that carbuncle next to the Tower.
