Lightsaber vs kamehameha - After Effects (Awesome DBZ Battle)

This is the test of special effects with use a program Adobe After Effects. I was inspired by nice Andrew Kramer's tutorials on videocopilot. Fight of Heroes is only test of effects and this is the reason why are plot, actors and camera weak. However i hope that you will be enjoy ;)

A brilliant example of skill and creativity. One of the BEST I've seen!!! The sound is awesome only enhancing what visually is stunning already. i love the over dubbed voices. Five is really not a high enough rating for this. The actors are quite good.

Very good! did you use Caustics for the ripples and such? if not, I have been looking for a shockwave/ripple effect for myself. Very nice and the only thing I would say to improve is to color correct the effects to make them match your scene a better so they are not too vibrant. 4/5!!

very thx.. I recorded the vid less than one hour and then edited in After Effects about 17 hours and maybe next six hours edit sound and music. Editing video took me long time because except some effects which were inspired by Andrew i developed my own. :)

in real this is test of particular effects so i made it fast and don't think about plot, camera etc. So editing this video took about 4 days with edit sound and music

for example some tutorials names on videocopilot: light_sabers_v2 , energy, soul_removal (for freezing breath, pink power blast and force shield) for many effects i used trapcode particular a then experiment with particles, they are very powerfull.
