If you strap your fixed blade to your leg and not your waist you will transfer the weight to a stronger part of the body. I never go into the bush unless I carry two items, a fixed blade with a blade of at least 8 inches and a handgun with two hundred rounds of ammunition. In my younger days I was hunted by two very bad men. I thought that I had seen something that I wasn’t supposed to. This lasted for two days until I made it to the hwy and was picked up by game and fish officers, if those men would have found me I am sure I would have been killed. I will never be in that helpless of a position again . Good news is I was able to take game and fish to the camp of the two men this Time odds were in my favor and they both were arrested and drug lad destroyed. Sometimes the bush can be a very dangerous place. Awesome advice my friend, keep up the good work

Hi Donavan, awesome advice Brother. Sounds like a terrifying situation you went through. So glad you got through it ok and have a plan going forward. I agree with you on the big blade. I typically carry a big blade out bush. Have an awesome day! Thanks Dave 🇺🇸 🇳🇿

I would agree that the folder is not as strong as a fixed blade, but if you break your folder dressing out a Deer then you are doing something wrong :)
