I. have. been. trying. to. do. this. since. 11 am. this. morning. It is now 8 pm. Thank you so much. The clip I was trying to do this to was 3 seconds long and I almost gave up on the project entirely so finding this was amazing. Lightworks is hard, man.

I’m so happy you preserved - Lightworks is not logical at all, but you can do most things on it. But this is the reason I made the channel - for people like you! Also remember, it takes me hours to figure the stuff out before I film it for the channel. Sometimes I have to stop because I get so frustrated! But I’m really glad you managed to get it done!

good job, your "tutorial" are really useful. one question do you recommend to pay for the "premium" version of ligthworks? I have edited only two videos at this moment and I have in mind to improve my video editing skills, but I am not sure if u would work with those tools because rigth now I do not know how to use them

With the Pro version you get video resolutions of more than 720p and you can choose your own saving location. You also get some other features that mostly the pros need. Myself, I'm not so bothered with HD or Ultra HD, and you get almost all the features of the Pro version for free

Thank you! How does one apply a DVE to all clips in a sequence? Not just one at a time?

That's actually quite easy. While you're in VFX you can mark an IN and OUT for your clips. So go to the start of your clips and mark an IN (press i on your keyboard). Then go to the end of your clips and press o on your keyboard to mark an out. When you now apply a DVE it will appear on the whole sequence. You can use this IN and OUT to control just how long the DVE will be and which clips it will be on.

Just want to ask can I use just pictures to make a video. I was planning to make short video to make fairy tale stories for children. I will use pictures or drawing and voice over them.

This would be quite easy actually - you could keep it simple or go advanced. Get all your pictures / photos and put them in a folder. Now, if you want to make your life easy, you could crop / resize each photo so that it was perfectly matching your video size (1280 x 720 pixels). What this would do is make sure that each of your photos would just fit into the screen, and you wouldn't have to do any adjustments in Lightworks. I promise you - this will save you hours of editing. Import these photos into your project, and then you can treat them just like video clips. Put them into your timeline and you can simply use the 'c' key to cut your photos to the correct time. If you wanted to get a little adventurous, you could put some picture in picture, or DVE effects to add some cool features to your video. When you finish, send me link ok?

Hello sir I'm back again. Just want to ask I'm still using images as the main video, and I'm narrating it using the build in voice recorder and I'm having a hard time recording and timing the video's to my live narration. Just want to ask for tips and tricks, like is the build in voice recorder in Lightworks any good or should I get something else?

I've never used the built in voice recorder. Without doing any research, my first thought is that if you don't have a powerful enough computer, then recording your voice while the clips are playing will slow down the computer. It might be enough for your voice to be out of time with your movie. What style of movie are you trying to make? Is it voice over a screen recording, or a different style of movie?

Sir, I was planning to make 3 to 5 minute videos and using images as slide shows. Then I plan to narrate over them using the build in voice recorder of LW because I have little experience will that work or should I try using audasity instead (I have never tried that software) and will audasity file be compatible with LW? And I got surprised that LW will make files format so it can easily read and edit files, if I plan to save the project after ward in a format like mp4 will that happen or will it just be the same as LW file format? Sorry sir I have to much questions, I have never done this before and I have a learning disability. Thank you for your time.

I'll try to make a voice over using Lightwave and see what happens. Audacity is really easy to use - I have a few tutorials on my channel that you can watch. Once you make a movie in Lightworks, you can export it as a movie file that you can play on anything.

When you start up Lightworks, make sure you (before you edit a video) that you click the settings button in the top right of the screen (the gear icon) and then go to "Project Layout" and make sure you have selected "Fixed". That should fix the problem

Hi ESH TECH.!! Need your help. I am trying to insert a picture between two videos in lightworks 14 but I am unable to do that. In certain other videos Mark and Park has been suggested. But I am unable to do that in lightworks 14

This should not be so hard. Import all your clips and pictures. Use the A and S keys to move the playhead in between the two clips that you want to insert the picture into. Double click the picture so that it's preview window comes up. Then insert that picture using the insert button (it's the one that looks like a screen with two outward pointing arrows)

You can. Simply put a VFX 2D DVE on a clip. You can then use the SCALE settings in the 2D DVE, as well as the CROP settings to adjust your clip / picture to whatever you need it.

that should be no problem. Three video tracks, the to one will be the smallest, under that a little bigger, and then the lowest video layer will be full size. In theory there's no limit to how many layers of video you can have.

you PIP clip will be in it's own video track - so it doesn't matter if your other video track has different clips, just make the PIP clip as long as you need in it's own track

i am having one problem with pip, whenever I pip with my png circle logo, at the scale>master and try to make it smaller in order to make my logo a watermark. the logo actually become smaller but the black side part also become smaller which I don't want.
