I bless the lord for exposition of the truth. However as a pastor from Uganda (East Africa). I am humbly suggesting that you extend such knowledge to Africa.

I stood there during this sermon, at the Yum Center, in tears as he preached this. What an awesome and much needed message. Thanks for posting this!

the gospel isn't boring to Christians. sorry.

Ha! I don't know pastor. I think it is ok to admit boredom. It's not like God isn't aware of our every emotion. The gospel itself could never be boring but this mental anguish of sitting through wind bags of long speech is excruciatingly boring and we all know it. "The gospel isn't boring to Christians. Sorry." Your implication that I am not a christian because I admit how incredibly boring your self mandated conferences are is dully noted.

I am a christian. I love Jesus. I love the Holy Ghost! But I would cry too if I had to sit through this conference. Is there some seminary rule that is taught or you people learn that makes it fundamental to be excruciatingly boring? Holy crap this is boring. "Legalism and Antinomianism" WOW! That is terribly boring crap. I couldn't be paid to sit through that. I remember the dread of despair I would feel in my stomach when the preacher at my grandma's church would proclaim "this is how it will be in heaven, church is just like how we will be in heaven, praise God!" I refuse to sit in any church that lulls me to sleep. What an incredible waste of time.

GOD's primary purpose for preaching isn't to appease or entertain but to enlighten and sanctify. Haven't we seen what entertaining our flesh could do?
@Anonymous741536 жыл бұрын
Fair enough. There is no enlightenment gained from being lulled into a state of sleepiness. And there is no sanctity on forcing ones self to sit through such boredom on a regular basis.

Dave We all know God would never use anything that we might find boring. That's incontheivable....

You make a good point in your sarcasm. God could very well use 'boring". I was short sighted in my response. My apologies. To God be the glory!
