Does it mean I am not saved yet if I continuously doubt whether I am saved?

Would an unbeliever worry about being a believer??? Seems to me, if you're this concerned in the first place it says a _great deal_ about your regenerate status. Stay in the Word, pray without ceasing, AND THEN REST IN HIM.

Hello brother. I too have doubted my salvation for many years as well. When it's not one thing it's another. I enjoy playing video games and I am a married man with children and I sometimes wonder, will me playing video games take me to hell? This is now but before video games there were other questions. It's like a never ending cycle. I say this because of the sin of idolatry and how mostly anything can become an idol. I'm not addicted to games but I sometimes wonder because I really enjoy playing games. It's my favorite hobby. I don't hunt, fish, play chess, play music etc.. I enjoy playing games. The doubts about my salvation have plagued me since I was a teenager and it's terrible. I walk around everyday with a constant sense of doubt, dread, uncertainty and I also ask God to have mercy on me.

@@abemontes2518 the Bible says that heaven is a free gift. We cannot work toward it. We get to heaven because Jesus has saved us, not because we followed the law or or did all the right things. It sounds like you’re tiring yourself out by believing in something that isn’t even true. There is NOTHING we can do to earn salvation or heaven. God loves you so much that he sent Jesus to die on the cross for your sins so that you would be able to be with Him. Rest assured that your salvation only rides on your faith in Jesus. I’ll be praying for you, legalism is so tough to get out of. God is still working through it with me

The fact that I doubt is proof I am saved because the closer I get to the Lord , the more aware I am of my heart condition and sin. When your living a compromised life or not seeking the Lord, you’re desensitized to sin and don’t care so much that you sin. But now I’m more aware and repentant then ever as the Holy Spirit convicts me . Also the more you hate the World is proof your saved 🙏

Came to find out he’s not lying. The Bible clearly says in Jude 6:1 the angels that are called demons are in everlasting chains until judgment. So if they’re in chains how can they be in yiu don’t say because they’re spirits. It’s the spiritual realm which mean spiritual Chains. By a GOD that has them locked up.

In fact, if I recall correctly, the Westminster Confession itself lists three main aspects of assurance of salvation: 1. The biblical promise that if you repent if your sin and trust in Jesus alone, you are saved. Trust God's word, not your feelings or doubts. Look to Jesus alone. 2. That you no longer produce the fruits of the flesh but instead you produce the fruits of the Spirit. A changed life, that others can see, etc. 3. The witness or testimony of the Holy Spirit giving you assurance of salvation. This isn't some new charismatic inner voice or Mormon-like feeling. Rather it's a reinforcement of the first two. The Holy Spirit reassures us by pointing us back to Jesus and the Bible and by showing us that yes our lives have been changed from lives that lived for ourselves and/or other idols but now live wholeheartedly for the Lord. 4. By the way, it's possible to be saved but doubt. In fact, if you aren't saved, would you doubt whether or not you're saved? Because it seems most who aren't saved are those who couldn't care less about religion or God let alone whether they're genuine or fake Christians. They don't entertain any doubts about salvation. They don't really care. Their flesh isn't at war with the Spirit in them because the Spirit isn't in them in the first place. So they are at peace with themselves, for their flesh has supremacy in their lives. There's no internal struggle or doubts about God or anything like that because they're still in the flesh. In this respect, doubts may indicate life, eternal life, warring with the flesh. The (spiritually) dead don't war because they're dead. The (spiritually) alive war with the flesh, the world, and Satan because they're alive. It's a sign of life to struggle and fight. Never give up.

Assurance of salvation is desirable and is the norm for the believer but it is not necessary for salvation. Many are saved who have some doubts because of their past lives and because of prevailing sins as King David said: "Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away." David also doubted his standing with God when he said: Cast me not away from thy presence and take not thy Holy Spirit from me." Psalm 51:11-12 As one Puritan put it "Assurance is the ring that fits on the finger of faith. Just as the finger may exist without the ring so faith may exist without assurance."

*We are sure of our calling because when God adopted us as his children, the Holy Spirit testified to our spirit that we have indeed been saved. If you did not feel (an incredibly overwhelming never before felt sorrow, joy, and appreciation all at once) God the Holy Spirit indwell you, then you are not saved. But, and this is a big but, if you have asked Jesus to save you then that in itself is proof you will indeed come to be saved. My killer verse is when God says in (Romans 9:15-16) For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.” 16 So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. Meaning, if I come to Christ, will God have mercy on me? My thinking is, It's not up to me, it's up to God. Another one that freaks me out is (Matthew 7:21-23) I Never Knew You: 21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ . . . Again, another call by God whether we are saved or not. I have a hard time with these verses. My thinking is that I can come to Christ every day, but it's still up to The Lord to save me. Therefore doubt creeps in.

The Reformed faith has specialized in the doctrine of assurance. Reformed theology actually makes assurance impossible, and so it is no wonder that they have written so much about it. People suffer greatly from unhealthy teaching. Theology has consequences.

Except for infant baptism and church government the Reformed faith is Biblical faith of the early church and to a high degree it is what I consider the most accurate understanding of scripture and theology in existence.

Only if you believe the early church started with Augustine. The truth is, Augustine is responsible for the reformed faith. Anyway, I could think of numerous things that are less than biblical in reformed theology. Infant baptism is just the tip of the iceberg.

I strongly suggest that you should discuss this very important question directly with a trusted Christian teacher from the Pentecostal church. Jesus tells us simply to believe and be baptised. He tells us to give him all of our sins, in order that we may be forgiven. He adds:- those that love me will do as I teach them, the big finish is to :- go and make disciples. Nobody "got saved" in the Bible. Salvation is not a definite or a guarantee for any person - if it were, there would be no need for grace or mercy or God or Jesus or the Bible. Remember, when Jesus was asked "Who then can be saved? - Christ replied "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). So, if salvation is only possible with the Almighty (meaning it could or could not happen) then why do so many subscribe to the "once saved, always saved" mentality or the "I can't lose my salvation' attitude? It's because they have swerved from the truth (2 Timothy 2:18) - turning it into lies and speaking evil of it should tell them how narrow the road is to heaven, how difficult it is to travel, and how few people actually make it to heaven (Matthew 7:13-14).

These guys don't understand Reformed Theology; on Calvinism the predestined elect lambs cannot be lost and the predestined *NON-elect* goat people will not ever be regenerated by the Calvinist God because they were never chosen prior to Creation.

I think most of them understand Reformed Theology, but they have difficulty teaching it. Either that or they are trying not to offend those who are unbelievers. 🤔
