Biblical GOD is only true GOD. I believe God doesn’t love us because of our obedience to Him, But because of his great love for us... ( just my opinion)

Howard Manley.... Indeed! Once you have been JUSTIFIED, you have the desire and ability to be obedient. Man is not the determinator of his soul. God is. There is nothing man can do to get approval from God and enter into eternal life when we die. We are “saved” (from God’s punishment of sin) when God supernaturally GIVES us faith and repentance. “for by grace you are saved, through faith, and this (faith) is not of ourselves, but the gift of God, not of works... lest any man should boast.” (Eph.2:8-9) So, the very instant you recognize that Christ took the punishment that you deserve for your sin, it means God has given you the gift of eternal life. “And He opened their minds to understand”. Ezekiel 36:26 New International Version (NIV) 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. So, I hope you understand what He did on the cross and ... that you are telling others! Witnessing is absolutely imperative to a Christian’s life. Dr. Kennedy said, that he could not believe anyone could claim to be filled with the Holy Spirit if not witnessing on a regular basis. The most exhilarating experiences of my life have been witnessing (being obedient even when I did not want to) and seeing God transform a human soul right before my eyes. What an honor to see that. He wants us to see that. Love in Christ.

Sandy Speaks .... And the highest form of obedience... is WITNESSING! Must! Must! Must! It is as much for you as it is for the person you are witnessing. Just say... “May I tell you something wonderful?” No one ever says no. “ The instant you recognize what Jesus did on the cross, that he took the punishment FROM GOD that you deserve for your sin... God gives you the GIFT of eternal life!” That’s the gospel in one breath. We are OBEDIENT out of gratefulness that He ALLOWED us to understand! I’m convinced that witnessing is the most important daily activity for a Christian... and gives us “the fullness of Christ”... the most enjoyable, thrilling moments of our life! What an honor that God WANTS US, DIRECTS US, to participate in making a blind man see!

I recall listening to Elizabeth Elliott on the radio and hearing her tell a story of one time when she was in a store like cloth world buying some material and one of the ladies behind the counter was very snappy and rude to her. She was tempted to explain to the woman she should not behave that way but instead asked her if she was having a bad day. The woman replied something like " yes my husband died a couple months ago and I found out just this morning I have cancer". Mrs Elliott was very glad she did not return the ladies anger as she had had no idea what the woman was going through.

@@YeshuaKingMessiah while being overwhelmed by some of the worst things life can throw at a person may not be an excuse it's understandable to a reasonable person. She brainwashed my son, physically beat my stepdaughter for remaining friends with the only dad (and her step mom who was truly more of a mom) that she ever knew,, and continued her pattern of drugging drinking, lying, thieving, and infidelity with several other boyfriends/ perhaps even another husband (or two?)

@@saintejeannedarc9460 I was truly blessed. Our Lord put my wife in my life when I had no interest in a relationship. We talked casually for months before she asked me to go to an 'unwedding reception'. A friend of hers had rented a hall for her wedding reception and the groom had backed out. The deposit was non refundable so they had a get together. This was in 1993. I had been single three years. It was a different world to be with someone I could trust. We've been married twenty eight years. My ex still spews hatred. My stepdaughter passed after a motorcycle incident in 2011. She wasn't talking to her birth person. I rarely ride due to an industrial injury, but when I do, or when my wife and I are around put in bay and the islands, which Scarlet loved, it's like she's with us Still pray that the ex can get her stuff straightened out -- God doesn't want anyone to perish ----

Obedience is the highest form of worship ~ Elizabeth Elliot. Thank you precious Woman of God. I needed to hear this after my son, Asher Isaac’s 1st Year Memorial on the 17th March 2021. He was only 33 years young. A precious young man who was born with eternity in his huge tender loving and very caring heart. Asher loved God and served Him since a teen, reaching out and witnessed to his friends and schoolmates... But God loved him so much more and wanted Asher back home with Him. Never knowing this most intense heart shattering pain, this message is speaking to me so deeply on many levels. 🙏🏼💙🌹🌿🌹🌿💔💔💔

Beautiful. I married a beautiful woman that had two children to a previous violent relationship. Today we have 12 children that love Jesus. Three generations of her family were saved inside 2 years of our conversion, despite them not liking me at that time. I was raised on the Bible and given a great example from my step parents and grandfather. I was taken away from my parents as a baby. My life was difficult to say the least. However, I was not going to allow our children to go through what my wife and I went through prior to our getting married. God is great.

I’m a Christian and have never blamed God for anything, but have questioned why I’ve lost so many friends to death as serious illness. Also why it happened so close to each other. It’s affected me and my other friends. It makes me feel so sad. I keep trusting God, the walk isn’t easy, But doesn’t everyone have their problems and losses. How would we long for perfection if we didn't experience imperfections? Truly the Lord has put a desire for something in our hearts that this current world cannot satisfy. We can sit in the slumps or follow him. If you want justice, don't wallow and complain, be thankful that you have a mind to want something so reasonable. Then pursue Him Who is Just. The Healer. The All Understanding. The All Powerful. The Great Knowing Knower of All Things. Lord, may we be like those who saw Life beyond the guillotine.

Wow.... I have to listen again. I'm in awe right now of the excellency of the God's word. It's so profound. The way I look at suffering will forever be the same. God cannot be blamed nor will He ever be convinced a liar. There are two realms: the natural and the spiritual. The word of God is to be applied not just to our current situations but also to those things that we can't see. Okay, let me go and study this some more...

We all suffer here on Earth. We are here to LEARN and LOVE, regardless of our sufferings, and we are all at different levels of learning. Love Elizabeth Eliot and miss this godly woman's wisdom. The Lord greatly used her during a life altering, transforming time in my life, especially via her books *(Passion and Purity)* I almost got to see her speak at a local Christian school and regret not going and meeting her in person. I'm grateful for this gentle, humble, godly, wise, imperfect saint .... *who did speak to men and women, who was read by men and women, but was never, ever referred to by men and women (nor herself) as a pastor!* Jussss sayin' 😁 Thank you Ligonier for posting... it brought me way back to a wonderful time in my walk.

What a life she lived. Incredible difficulty, suffering and pain, coupled by equally incredible faith and assurance, evidencing a walk with God that allows one to keep moving forward through the deepest difficulties, even when neither God, nor His plan can be seen. I know her observation to be correct that it is in the terrible crucible of our deepest pain that I believe that we find ourselves closest to an ever present God and most susceptible to growth in our walk with Him.

Hello Agnes, I am a Christian and American and I want to tell you that what you might be seeing on the news from America is not representative of most people here. I live in the Southwest and in a small town and we have no problems here and people are kind to each other and respect the law. The protests I see on the news are very strange to me as well. I have been praying a lot for our country and would like to ask you to pray for us. I believe a lot of the things have been set up to cause division and unrest. I want to share with you that I lived in Germany in the early 90’s and we went on many wonderful trips. Europe has a special place in my heart and my fourth child was born there. I am thankful to God for my time there. God bless you and I will continue to pray for my Christian brothers and sisters in Europe. 💖

The Psalms and those Psalms particularly of David brought me so much peace and comfort. For David went through so much sorrow and grief, trouble and loneliness that he vividly describes with candid detail. If God delivered and restored David from all his troubles, particularly the troubles of the soul, He can deliver us from our troubles. I love Psalm 63 as of late, "O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in your sanctuary and gazed upon your power and glory. Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer." Psalms 63:1‭-‬4 NLT

First of all, you and your husband need to both confess and repent of any sin you may have in your life; ask God to search both of your hearts, if either one of you do not have sin, fine. Go to your husband and lay your hands on him, and command, in the name of Jesus Christ, for those spirits of fibromylagia, pain, sickness and weakness to leave. Plead the blood of Jesus over both of you and be determined to be under the authority of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ died so that we could have healing
