I've had two of the LiitoKala 200AH batteries on my sailboat (charged by a 300W solar system) for the past year and they have preformed flawlessly.

Have you managed to do a full capacity test? So far, no issues other than squeezing the full capacity

@@DanSohan I've not done a capacity test. However, I've lived on my boat for months at a time running fridge and other electronics. I charge the bank with two Victron SmartSolar contriollers and monitor it with a Victron SmartShunt. No issues.

@@pawnmoveI'm considering putting together a similar system with these batteries using The renogy Wanderer solar charge controller and about 240 watts of panels. Any suggestions or pointers?

@@thisoldboat7393 The Wanderer chargers appear to be PWM chargers (bad) so my recommendations would be to (1) use a MPPT controller (I used Victron SmartSolar), and (2) install a good shunt-based monitor like the Victron SmartShunt or Balmar SG200 + BlueTooth adapter.

Do you know the total wattage of your use? For now I just want to power 3X50 watt led lights and 2X40 watt fans in my storage shed. I want to use LiitoKala 12.8V 160AH LiFePO4 Battery with Solar Panel 2*300W Portable Outdoor Power Storage Solar System Kit Inverter 6000W 30A. (not too sure about the 6000W) Any feed back is greatly appreciated.

I have 2 x 150ah Liitokala. Pretty poor. I've ended up cutting them open to investigate. The BMS is pretty cheap and nasty. The wiring is poor too. That said, the battery is cheap. After 3 full capacity tests, I. Get 100ah from one and 122ah from the other. I've replaced the BMS for JDB and fitted a 5A equaliser as the cells do tend to run away, not helped as its 8 pouch cells in parallel and in series. Since the mods, I can squeeze a extra 5ah out of each. So for less than £500, I've got about 235ah and it's now Bluetooth. Would I buy them again? Absolutely no way as the company deny their packs fail to make capacity. However I do take away a decent capacity leisure battery plus a lot of new gained knowledge.

Did you do the trickle charging test to force re-balancing to increase ah? Did it work?

Hi Dan! I've been using the 24v version of these packs for some projects and overall I've been very happy with them. The ones I have say 24V 80Ah. I figure it's only really 80% of that (and that was my expectation when I bought them), and they've performed great for the past 8 months or so. How are yours holding up? Did you end up doing that 1-year-in review?

Do you build lithium battery packs for folk... With an onboard BMS can I use my 2020 caravan charger to charge the battery ? Thanks

My 150AH SHENTEC looks identical to this in my RV. I've had the BMS shut down the battery when charging off the generator with the RV's built-in charger, I suspect it's some type of overcurrent protection kicking in. I Wish these had a Bluetooth app to find out what's going on...

Thank you for sharing. I'm interested to know how you built your homemade battery packs. What kind of cost savings Etc

To be honest the cost saving have dropped a lot as lifepo4 has come down in price.

18:55 LiitoKala conclusion Depends of the model and how chinese produce specific piece, it may have less capacity, but quality and price are good so they're worth considering Same in lithuanian test 13:09 kzbin.info/www/bejne/aorGmYSKirqee5Y Battery charges are faulty: DE kzbin.info/www/bejne/rGWzdaSvj8mLi7s PL kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpDZoYOEgdiMkM0 UK kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKW6m3-la9-Cf6s

@@mygadgetzhaiqal7410Hi. Ive manage to sort that now It took few days on my solar panel to fully charge it to 14.4 volt. I guess its becouse it need cell balancing at the end and that can take ages especially if you only using solar system (im in uk so not that many sunny days). Try and charge it via normal charger for very long time it should help.

So, if I understand you Don’t use a DC DC charger to charge it from the alternador, do you think it’s not necessary?
@DanSohan
@DanSohan 8 ай бұрын
I don't, and I haven't had any trouble, Lots of people do, I think the main benefit is been able to control the charge current, and put charge in more quickly - however I have solar in my van and that takes care of 80% of the recharging.
