Ichiban is the type of person to go above and beyond for people, making sure they get put on the right path despite what they've done, if the person wants to atone and make amends. I look up to characters like him because it shows that not everyone deserves every bad thing that's coming for them. There are plenty of people in this world in which, despite the horrible things they've done, they can still try to set things right, if they allow themselves to want to set things right. The problem is, a bunch of people in this world refuse to let others make amends and atone, and rather see them get hurt or put to death. Infinite Wealth literally displayed that when ichiban was carrying Eiji to the police station, with all the bottles being thrown at the both of them, injuring them and being beaten, and this comment section is no different from that cutscene since I'm seeing some people in the comment section of other Infinite Wealth videos wishing for Eiji to be beaten more. It honestly makes me laugh at how people just refuse to let a person change and are sick and twisted enough to wish and want for them to be beaten and dead. That just makes the majority of society no better and no different then Eiji. I wish more people would be like Ichiban, otherwise, the world would be so much better then it is now if we just all came together to help someone who wants to make change and a difference.

I was really not ready to see both protagonists pull off Jesus allegories, but it worked very well. Kiryu becomes the embodiment of old Yakuza, making all their sins and their mistakes his own, and using that image of him to tearfully beg Ebina for forgiveness for every wrong the Yakuza did him, to please allow them this new chance to live and atone; and also begging Ebina to forgive _himself,_ and not throw his life away in this self-destructive revenge against the yakuza. Meanwhile Ichiban reaches out to Eiji, this civilian who did *terrible* things to himself and the people he cared about in the name of revenge against the yakuza for ruining his life, and convinces him to turn himself in, rather than just hiding and waiting for the police, the public, or the yakuza to get to him first. Ichi then carries him to the police _himself,_ taking the brunt of the hate of the public for Eiji with a smile on his face.

Look at Komaki dude was old as shit, yet he could beat most people, and he taught Kiryu many of his iconic moves, especially tiger drop. In Y0 Kuze was in his mid-50s yet he kept coming after Kiryu and didn't care what happened to him. In Y6 Hirose was 84 years old and was frequently referred to as the strongest man in Hiroshima. If anything Kiryu could easily be a force to be reckoned with for the next many years if we go by that pattern

First the boss fight starts when you play as Majima against Awano Hiroki and Lao gui and finallly The final boss fight is when you play as Kiryu against Shibusawa Keiji. Now in Yakuza 8 the first boss fight is when you control Ichiban's party against Palekana Cult Leader Bryce Fairchild along his cultist and finally the final boss fight is when you play as Kiryu's party against Ebina Masataka Seiryu Clan current chairman.

He seems to be getting treatment, it’s left open to interpretation. The sayama story is heavily deflating, Kiryu just eavesdropped on her and date, that’s it.

To be fair they didn't spend that much time on Ebina's character. I saw him more as an amalgam of everything, that haunted Kiryu. To show the player how much guilt he had bottled up until that point. A plot device forcing Kiryu to face his past and coming to terms with it all in order to keep on living. As for Ichiban, you get closure and a better understanding of his character, and just how far he's willing to go for what he wants to believe in. His whole story seemed like a constant struggle, that challenged his mentality over and over again. After facing it he remained the lovable goof we know him as despite how much he got pushed around.
