they replaced the original with hideo nakano. I hate it. Let me be clear I don't hate hideo nakano, i think the decisions made for this localization were made by people in suits who don't care about the series' passionate US fanbase. Shame on you sega of america. Shame executives, shame.

the fact that ryoma and him are supposed to be sworn brother types always felt weird. The Nakano character looks and sounds way older than Ryoma and it feels like they want us to ignore it, but I just can't help it lol

For me Takechi is probably the best main antagonist in yakuza series. Mostly how he is basically reflection of Ryoma. As both wanted to reform their country. However, when one sticked to his ideals, the other became broken and desperate. Same with fact how both represent legacy of historical Sakamoto Ryoma.
