My gun has had under 10 second turn arounds, and that’s pretty quick. The chief has to verify with the recorder round type, fuse, powder increments, quadrant and deflection. Those rounds are 100 pounds.

Because they're usually BEHIND the Forward line of troops. If you fuck up ANYTHING you not only run the risk of missing and collateral, you can also drop rounds on your own. And that's a bad day. Even worse is you taking out your guys accidentally and having the enemy break through and push, that means they're coming your way fast too. All Because you wanted "fast" Remember, slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.
