What do you mean? If enemy is spamming mg the best counter is to have mortar. 2 mortar groups is more than enough. And if you can micro using ketengrad with scope. They will be sitting ducks.

yes mortar first or mortar second depending on the map. on a map with houses you can build the mortar first e.g. you can see when the enemy lands.
