"I wanted to tell you, that you're free. In time you'll see - I just weighed you down." sometimes, when you truly love someone, you have no choice but to let them go, for their happiness cannot bloom with you around. another fucking powerful song, softer or heavier these guys are going places with this new album. might be my favorite LMTF record to date.

I will forever be a fan of like moths to flames. No matter the change in sound. Heavy or not they still sound like they always have. Really looking foward to this new album. One of the first bands i ever got into. Back when i was 13. 6 years later i still love this band.
@dames3137 жыл бұрын
Jason LovesABR i was introduced into the rock/metal genre at 13. And the first bands i discovered from friends was asking alexandria and bring me the horizon. But there was also marilyn manson, linkin park and miss may i and like moths to flames as well. After that i quickly began to explore before i found some of the bands you mentioned. 6 years later i listen to anything from nu-metal to death metal. But you definitley got into it all back when it was at its best for many bands. Wish i could have gotten into it around that time as well.

I think that Like Moth to Flames might be the only band that people actually accept which direction in sound they take. Looking back at old stuff: Emarosa, Agraceful, and now LMTF. Chris captures all essence in band. Doesn't matter if it's soft, or heavy. LMTF can/will always pull any sound. Love this band.

sophvdh Sound never changes they only evolve. People are always to set on one specific thing they once heard. If a band wrote the same the whole time they would never be able to experiment and get better.
@metalcorewins6 жыл бұрын
I think it's because they didn't sell out when they got softer, its still quality, well thought out music. A lot of bands go softer claiming theyre taking a new direction but have watered down lyrics or riffs compared to what they've previously demonstrated.

This is the sound they needed to go to if they ever wanted to make real money. There is no money in screaming metal. There's a reason metal shows are at small venues with cheap ticket prices. I prefer the old sound but I'm happy for LMTF that with this sound they can have a much larger audience and blow up a bit so they can make some decent money for once.

@joshbarnes67596 жыл бұрын
Wayne Landers it's not. Their old stuff was meh at best. Generic metalcore lost in a sea of identical bands not only sounding alike, but behaving and looking alike and using the same tones and gear. Theyve matured and broken free. Don't get me wrong, I was a bit of a fan before, too. I own 2 of their older albums. I've seen them live twice. This is much better. It's genuine. It has depth.
@FreeSpeechEmpire6 жыл бұрын
Josh Barnes different but not better imo, their old shit was so good man like Wither or Lord of Bones. I think Chris has just been going through a lot and that he's in a different stage of the bullshit, instead of lashing out with all his wild anger he's been in more of a "fuck it all let the world burn" type feel lately. This is just my opinion though, I love it all.
@joshbarnes67596 жыл бұрын
See the comment above. Literal hordes of other bands, signed and unsigned. A myriad of soubdclouds and Dropboxes filled to the brim with music EXACTLY like LMTFs old stuff. Oversaturation.

Am I the only one that really enjoys the new LMTF? They were okay as a heavy band but nothing particularly unique, and there's only so many ways you can write the same song over and over again. We got three albums of basically the same sound, so I'm pretty excited to hear LMTF trying something new. I loved Chris' work in Agraceful, and this brings back some of those same vibes.
@mar.c17 жыл бұрын
Danny's Garage Respect the opinion but the last 3 were def not the same sound. WWDE was in your face heavy with generic song structures (great album though) EFAE was more instrumentaly intriquent less generic but the delivery was lacking in a few tracks IMO, and TDTWLF was downtuned, heavy and most songs had more of a sluggish vibe. I like all their albums they were all different from each other but,looks like this one will be the "odd one out" in comparison to the others if you will
