I love how the narrative of this song connects up on "Work Song." When he says "Why were you digging? What did you bury? ....In some sad way I already know" the answer is given in this verse: "Boys, when my baby found me I was three days on a drunken sin I woke with her walls around me Nothin' in her room but an empty crib And I was burnin' up a fever I didn't care much how long I lived But I swear I thought I dreamed her She never asked me once about the wrong I did" She lost a child, and by nurturing this man she found at rock bottom she's fulfilling her instinct to care for something. They find a fragile solace in each other in the present moment, each knowing that to speak of the past might shatter the whole thing. Just my theory though. Anyone else notice this connection?

I discovered this cover quite late from when this was uploaded, but I just want to tell you how much I appreciate this cover. This is by far one of, if not the most beautiful Hozier covers out there. I have an anxiety disorder, and have been listening to it the past couple of months and it really helps me feel grounded. The dark, but warm atmosphere of the video, really brings me a lot of warmth. I have been listening to this the past couple nights as I've had a hard time trying to get through some big emotions recently. Thank you, Chase, and most of all to Sierra for her incredibly warm and home-y voice. I haven't felt this way about music in a while.
