A variation of elements: Zeus' insemination of Semele occurred in a bolt of lightning that sickens & eventually kills Her, requiring Zeus' retrieval of pre-natal Dionysus. Here, Semele is not virginal, nor barren, but whose beautiful frame, signalling health, could not withstand divine 'dynamis'; is deprived of motherhood but ascends to Heaven as if semi-divine, like her Son. Dionysus completes his gestation within Zeus' thigh, is delivered whole by expediting Hermes, is called Twice-born & sets out alleviating the woes of mankind.
