In the LikeaBoss channel, look for the playlist on Visio connectors... much more on how to manage connector behaviors.

Thanks for this. Surprised there are so many steps to accomplish this change in defaults.

Just started Visio and had the same question (don't want arrows). Looked everywhere for setting default so this is a great help. As a work around I simply changed one and used 'Format Painter x double click) to change the rest.

You should just make your own stencil and make changes there. So much easier and you can call it from any open visio Doc. Or you can edit the master defaults stencil files called CONNEC_M.VSSX and CONNEC_U.VSSX. AT YOUR OWN RISK. You will have to give yourself and ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES permission READ and WRITE.

I noticed even if we save the file, as its original file type, its working fine. So is it the action of 𝖘𝖆𝖛𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖋𝖎𝖑𝖊 𝖎𝖘 𝖎𝖒𝖕𝖔𝖗𝖙𝖆𝖓𝖙 rather than file type like template ?

This has to be the most aggravating thing about Visio it defaults every single connector to snap to right angle thanks for the video

Right!? Thanks for the comment, and at least we have a decent workaround...

I know this is an old video and this is probably not too necessary but i'd really appreciate if you'd help me out, my question is how can i make the connector's color gradient between two or three swim lanes in a process flowdiagram?.. thank you so much in advance
@LikeABossLearning4 жыл бұрын
Old is relative :) You can add a gradient to a line by selecting the connector and then go to Home | Shape Styles, then click the Format Shape button in the lower right corner of that grouping, then in the Format Shape tab, from the Fill and Line options, choose Line | Gradient Line. Hope that helps!

The problem I'm currently trying to figure out is how to control weather or not a connector jumps over another connector with a little bump.

Unless you have many other common things you do, making a template is a good thing but..... This will NOT change the Main default connector in the ribbon but it will allow you to change all the connectors in the Connectors stencil. make sure visio is closed and right click on the files and click EDIT.

i can't believe the software is so stupidly designed they don't have the option to define default format of connector. i mean wth is the person smoking when he decided to not have the option and make user suffer.
@LikeABossLearning4 жыл бұрын
right?? you'd think this would have made it into a Jira ticket for their dev team by now
