Around 1960s-1970s Blacks in poverty stricken areas started to group up like how the whites did, but the blacks grouped to defend themselves. The whites grouped to spew there racist ideology and anger towards the Blacks. This created modern day Crips, GDs, Vicelords, Latin Kings, and so on. Over a few years the demographic of these areas started to change, white people were moving else where, suburbs and so on. So, in 1968 to be exact. Which happens to be the same year MLK died. The government flooded these areas with drugs and guns because like any race that’s desperate for opportunity and money, they knew they were going to fight over them. Why do you need to hang and spew racism at them, when you can just give them drugs and guns, and they’ll kill eachother over it. Like any race would in desperate times. Lets not also forget police and police brutality. You see it now heavily because police were issued cameras. But back than do you think they were going to listen to a black man over a white cop? No. Over time private prison owners most likely paid police departments to lockup random blacks to fill up their prisons which ultimately puts money back in there pockets. That’s why the current prison population is mostly black while America is 60% white and only 13% black but blacks hold most the prison population. Theres something going on here if you can tell. Why would a young male join a gang? Most of them do it for a sense of belonging because they have a broken family(which is cause of the actions i just spoke of), money which these gangs bring in thousands of dollars on the block and a lot of times even yourself if you had nothing and you’re mother lived check to check, struggling. You would idolize these people bringing in large chunks of money, having reputation, and girls etcetera. Most of the schools are dirty, rats, stink, or have a lot of internal issues. Trust me these young men wished they were born in mansions in the suburbs. But they werent and they know that but they still have to take pride in something. Please stop thinking its the citizens fault. Let’s not forget the last few Illinois representatives were corrupted and the police department, like Baltimore’s is known for corruption. Remember if there’s a big problem within a large group of citizens. The government is the one to blame because they represent the citizens. Please do you’re research and stop watching CNN. Blacks as a whole never had a chance to be anything over here in America and its just saddening how you come thinking its a hole so easy to get out of.

Lil Durk inspired me not only with this documentary but also with songs like Better and Make it Out. What's inspires me the most about this video is watching the film director take shots of Chicago, (where I'm really from) where I struggle to to make it out right now. That's really wussap. Knowing that at some point Lil Durk and I both were working on ideas (in that same place) with intentions of eventually bettering our environment and more than anything ourself.
