We rented for about 10 years & I didn't like it at all now we own/have a mortgage. When we first moved to Palm Springs our rent was $550 for a studio apt back in 2003. When we left, the rent for a 2 bedroom apartment was $1K I said nope, this is someone's mortgage. We're getting our own home...that we did. 7 years this coming Summer we'll be in our house. She also mentioned that she's looking for a house in the hills. She also drives the car that she drives. All are her choices as she builds and maintains the lifestyle she wants.
