Fantastic! One part was inverted and I thought I was going crazy!!! Thank you so much! The rod within the steering wheel was on backwards in the one we had. Make sure not to twist too tight when you put the screwdriver in the silver cylinder. I tightened it too far and mine broke the metal! Trying to see if I can get a new steering wheel piece now since that's the only part that's broken.

The small front wheel should not touch the ground. You have assembled it correctly. The floating front wheels are a safety feature to keep the car from tipping forward if the drive wheels hit an obstruction.

Unfortunately you put the steering wheel on upside down. The instructions show a different steering wheel, so it made assembly confusing... but it clearly states the wide side of the wheel should face forward. No big deal though... just a heads up for those using this video to help them.

Thanks for checking out the video. Yes, I thought that at first also... But you are reading instructions that are referring to the wrong steering wheel. Check out the sites that are selling the rider with the steering wheel pictured in the video (like Amazon.com). If they are wrong, then you are right. I'm not sure it makes a difference which way you install it. I just installed like the manufacturer indicated. Happy New Year!

The small front wheels don't touch the ground. Not sure if it has much purpose but may help to hop over an elevated surface. You have assembled it correctly.

thanks for going over a fix but i think for a lot of people, the bottom metal piece is broken so it won't stay in anyway these are pretty cheap/fragile

The problem i have encountered with this toy is that the handle will not tighten down at all. I am at a loss.

Hmm... I've not had that issue come up before. The problem must have something to do with the steering bolt spinning inside the steering shaft... You might try tightening the bolt while holding the anchor (the wedge portion of the bolt) with some pliers. You may then have to drive it into the steering shaft or loosen it back a little if too tight. Just be careful not to "over tighten". Hope this helps. Can't think of anything else except getting a new anchor bolt...
