This album definitely holds up for me and I’m a big rock/metal guy, or at least I used to be. Obviously the vocals are less technically proficient than pretty much all other rock music, but they still have a lot of personality, and I enjoy the vocal production they used. And the instrumentals are top tier.

Also about the Yatchy wanting to be respected as an artist controversy. Yatchys words were horribly misconstrued and taken out of context. I’d recommend mr2kgods video on it.

I know that I’m probably going to get hate for saying this, but I have pretty mixed feelings on this album I really liked the production and I also really liked what yachty was going for, but I also think I would’ve liked this album more if it was made by someone else. Yachty’s singing voice just doesn’t work for me. But after all it’s just my opinion🤷‍♂️

I think the statement that "it only sounds good to hip hop listeners" is quite pretentious. Ive loved both genres for like my whole life and although Yachty isn't breaking any new ground with this album his bringing together of his sound with 80s synth pop rock is unique and honestly amazing.
