Awesome envelopes Ceri! I’m so glad to hear that you surprised your friends and went on the cruise. I’m 59, have never been on a cruise yet. However, I live in WA State and lots of Alaska cruises leave from Seattle. Seattle is approx a 4 hour drive from my home. My fingers are crossed, a bucket list item besides the Alaska cruise, I would love to see the Northern Lights.

Pause to say--I am STILL learning to be free in my own art! I used an alphabet stencil to write song lyrics on a gel print and used it to collage in my personal art journal and thought about how that's something my 14 year old self would have LOVED... and that's when I realized that at 39, I can do that if I want to. There's no one to stop me from indulging that inner 14 year old. I love fanart and if anything, it could be considered a form of fanart! It's funny how art is such a lifelong journey, especially shedding negativity and anxieties and insecurities and letting ourselves truly do whatever we want with our art. I thought I was already there... apparently not!! Because I just allowed myself to make art with my favorite song lyrics for the first time since I was a teenager! Thanks for sharing!!! It's good to know we're not alone on this journey and others have similar experiences!

Ceri, it`s so easy to make an antistatic pouch. You put some cornstarch (I prefer baby powder because of its nice smell) into an old white sock, make a knot, and trim off the fabric above the knot. It`s really useful, especially when you`re working with black embossing powder. The stamped image is always crispier when you use a stamping pouch.

Fabulous video and love the decorated envelopes. I really enjoy listening to you as I’m crafting and I can’t wait until I have some time to have a play on my gel plate too. Your homemade mark making tools are super cool. I don’t go to Starbucks but I can try to make something similar with the inside of corrugated cardboard. I’m sure the Starbucks sleeves are best because it’s a nice compact harder cardboard. Thanks for all the tips and a fun video!

Well I love a good surprise, you certainly did that to your friends, super fun!! I'm a reader as well and love nothing more than a good book, but I have to stop myself or nothing will get done. I did an envelope project (4) with alcohol ink sprays that I made and markers - it turned out horrible and since I used dollar tree envelopes.... I spent more time putting them back together. So, I am going to bin them and start over with paint, I don't have a gel pad, but will use a silicone mat and try! Love this project and the colors! Have a great week!
