To anyone who is new to Lila, she is a total trail blazer. She was barely 20 on Bill O'Reilly's show debating about the dangers of abortion with prominent left-wing academics and activists. She has accepted awards from powerful and influential politicians. Instead of partying she was preaching traditional values/conservatisim from UCLA. She is everything the manoshphere wishes they were - an absolute champ. I am glad that she is finding a newer audience.

I couldn't help (watching her on Whatever) that she's the type of woman that the Red Pill community claims they want, but when confronted with her, they attacked and exposed themselves as shallow philanderers, who...although complaining there are no faithful women to marry, demonstrate thry don't actually want a faithful woman. ...a complete joke.

@@barrygarvey7530 absolutely. In fact I think the “red pill” mentality is what gave rise to feminism in the first place. Yes the term red pill is new, but the ideas are old as rocks. Somehow that toxic misogyny was lumped in with Christianity, and so being feminist meant being anti Christian. And now we’re in a total mess. When the reality is those ideas were never Christian to begin with.

I appreciate your breakdown of Mary’s story. I was raised Catholic, and struggled to embrace the church. Because I did get the impression that only women were ever told to be submissive, subservient, and quiet. I could not accept Mary as a role model. If anything, I felt that her glorification harmed women. It took me so long to realize what you said-that both men and women are lowly before God. And that men who claim only women need to submit and be silent/humble are just wrong. I see her completely differently now. Even men should look to her example.

Love your take on the holy family. I feel men often point to the power of Christ to direct the church as an example of how the marital relationship is best exemplified and forget Joseph in his strength, trust, and humility. Their focus on the duty of women to submit often gifts themselves the infallibility and power of God while ignoring the virtues they’re called to practice as fathers. I love your point on how Joseph did not seek glory or riches, he worked to care for his family. It’s a reminder a lot of ambitious men need. Women can be meek, strong, courageous, and wise without compromising our maternity or femininity. We can contribute economically and doing so can help the family. Listening to conservative men discuss what women should be is often exasperating because the image so often looks like a quiet maid and nanny, not a wife or intellectual partner. I also loved how you pointed out the maternal roles women can fill even if we don’t have biological children. I’d love to hear more of your thoughts on the differences between maternal and paternal strength, courage, wisdom, and sacrifice.

There's something so cute(?), don't know if that's the right word, but rather endearing about this grown beautiful woman who has accomplished great things in her life, defending the unborn and fighting for life day in and day out, talk about her spirituality based on love with such enthusiasm and child-like faith but also with a kind of grounded-ness. It's like a call to mission. I really admire it. I almost rolled my eyes at the beginning when she said femininity was about motherhood cause I thought that's been said so many times and is quite limited and vague but she explained it in a way that opens it up to more possibilities to be expressed in a unique way for each individual.

When I was younger I was insistent that I would never have children. Now at age 28 I can’t wait to be a mother. I’ve come to realize over the last 2 years that being a mother is the highest calling a woman can have. I pray I can make that happen soon.

This is one of the most beautiful, refreshing, truth-filled descriptions of biblical, inspiring womanhood I have ever heard. As a Protestant, I am convicted of how little we talk about Mother Mary and give God glory for the beautiful example she has set, both as women following Jesus and as a picture of what kind of woman to look for as a man of God. It seems like she gets portrayed as simply a vessel for the Savior to enter the world through with a little bit of backstory into how that played out. I too have recently started my own search for the truth of femininity. There have been a lot of loud voices on the subject of women and what they should/shouldn’t be in recent history. So much so that they have served to drown out the truth of the subject, I feel. I’ve just realized this now that I’m in my early 30’s and am hungry for the truth. I have so many questions. This is a good video. I think both men and women have forgotten what it means to be masculine and feminine. Our culture keeps pushing us to “innovate” or be creative when it comes to gender. Our culture wants us to “define for ourselves” what it means to be masculine/feminine. Our culture sometimes even pushes people to create their own gender. Our culture has an obsession with novelty. However, there is so much we can learn about gender from generations past. In our culture’s desire to do something unique, it has forgotten the centuries upon centuries of role models, philosophy, and literature on what it means to be masculine/feminine. This is something that Christianity-and especially Catholicism, with its extra focus on the lives of the saints and church history-can contribute to our culture’s current gender crisis. As a young 19 year old Christian man (only being saved for a year), I have been researching what a man is supposed to be. Haven’t watched - wild how the title mirrors a thought I had yesterday! I’m 27, yesterday I thought to myself how much of a role model women like Riley Gaines and yourself are, and how I wish I’d have had the wisdom to look up to people like yourselves when I was younger. I then happened upon Candace Owen’s video where she begins with a monologue about _what is a worthy woman._ It made me a bit uncomfortable so I didn’t watch the video to be honest. But that seems to be a thing on peoples minds, and I think it’s a good thing! Although I’d argue that we all have inherent worthiness as human beings, I’d agree, there is an ideal to strive towards and I would say it’s likely a universal ideal. One that captures the integrity and courage of Riley Gaines while encapsulating the compassionate intelligence that comes through in your conversations, and the nurturing aspects of yourself - though you also are full of integrity and bravery, and Riley is full of wit, compassion and grace (like I said, excellent role models you both are!). Despite my saying it’s a universal ideal, the example of you and Riley goes to show that there is room to be an individual while striving to exemplify those qualities in yourself. And we really need more excellent female role models so thank you for being one of mine ☺️ Editing after after watching - that was captivating! Thank you! To share, I wasn’t raised with religion, I went to a small school during middle school that was near a church so for a few years I went to church but I knew very little about the Bible - practically nothing, I didn’t even know until recently that it was written by witnesses of Jesus. I had a spiritual awakening that many would say echoes New Age stories - this happened in late 2020 - I wouldn’t say that it does mirror it precisely, I was genuinely alone and followed my awakening out of depression and into belief through some pretty supernatural stuff. I realized I was wrong about abortion during a meditation and actually stayed up for nights and nights researching about it years ago during my awakening and that’s when I found you. I’ve enormous respect for the Catholic religion and love Mary. I have a spiritual therapist and talked to her about the courage of Mother Mary during our last session - we were talking about why Jesus chose her to be his mom, and why I chose the mother I have/what I learned from her. There are interesting things happening. What a time. Haha.

Lila! I just want to say thank you for this video, and my heart feels convicted right now. I was raised in the methodist church so i didnt really view mother mary in such a heavy light. These past couple of weeks, ive been feeling a desire to explore orthodoxy or catholicism bit. As a young woman, i needed this message. Also, i had been frequenting manosphere podcssts for a while, and I'd been encountering justin waller in a lot of them. I hated his rhetoric surrounding male promiscuity, particularly the part about expecting loyalty from a pure or chaste wife, only to return it with a lack of sexual discipline. It's really hard to name a women in 2023 that I would honor by calling them a "role model"! 1. Lila Rose .. you are my number one pick .. and I am not saying that because this is your show. You are every mothers dream for how we want our daughters to live. You are beautful, smart as a whip, kind, strong but gentle as a lamb, but most of all.. you are not afraid to love our Lord.. out loud! 2. Megyn Kelly .. she is also beautiful! Berides her beauty, dhe is a strong women, who isn't afraid to be vulnerable. She can show her sexy side .. while drawing a moral line. 3. Candice Owens .. who I would describe the samre as Megyn Kelly. Other then these three women.. I cannot come up with a 4th at the moment .. I am going to think about this for a bit. The concept of the spiritual mother is so comforting if we fear / are stressed out by fertility issues! 😍On another note dear Lila and fellow pro-lifers, I recently have been wondering what you might think of a certain type of counter argument to the pro-choice bodily autonomy argument. I wanted to share this with you, maybe you think it needs some steel manning (please feel free to share) or you consider it helpful in discussion and debates: Bodily autonomy does not involve the intentional killing of innocent human beings, even when another human is attached to someone's body. We see this exemplified when analyzing real life and hypothetical scenarios with conjoined twins: "Let's say there's a set of conjoined twins. Both twins are healthy. Nonetheless, they are still attached, and Twin A wishes to be separated from Twin B. There's one hiccup, though - Twin B is temporarily currently weaker and more reliant upon Twin A. So, their doctor informs them they must wait a minimum of 24 weeks before getting separated to give Twin B time to get stronger. If they are separated before 24 weeks, Twin B will most surely die. However, Twin A wants to be separated from Twin B as soon as possible regardless of what will happen to Twin B. So Twin A hires a black market doctor to do the separation surgery early. The twins are separated; however, Twin B dies as a direct result." Question for pro choicers: Is what Twin A has done morally acceptable? And should it be legally permissible? (Example is from the Pro-Life Reddit site with slight alterations) A little tweak to the scenario to counter the argument that it would be impermissible solely because Twin B would have to suffer when being killed: Let's assume Twin B is mentally handicapped from birth and he is also put under anesthesia during the separation surgery performed by the black-market doctor, so Twin B wouldn't have experienced any suffering beforehand due to the iminnent killing due to his mental disability and neither during the killing due to being under anesthesia. So, the only reasonable conclusion to draw would be the following: every human has the right not to be intentionally and innocently killed regardless of their mental or physical capacities, state of development or dependency on other people.

Our Lady was betrothed to St. Joseph at the time of the Annunciation, so she had a man in her life. What I find fascinating, is that she answers a question posed in the future tense (he did not say when this would happen), but she answers in the present tense. I read that as her intention to live a chaste marriage to St. Joseph.

"To know" someone of the opposite sex in the Bible is a less graphic way as saying having intercourse. There are some points in the Bible where "to know" is the choice of words and other times where the Bible will just say "intercourse". So yeah, you would be correct.

I am so glad I found you, you are such an awesome role model for women. I just want to express my understanding of God's presence in our lives. I do not believe it is His will to ever take away our health or our wealth. That is a condition of our humanity. For example, if we get cancer, that is not because it was allowed by him, I believe if we receive such a diagnosis, He weeps with us and if we seek His help we will learn through our Catholic faith to offer up our suffering, to continue walking in faith, He will carry us. His will is for us to take up our cross and Trust in everlasting life. Bless you Lila Rose. (I hope you got to talk to Chase about the virtues of our Catholic faith, he's such a good man).

Amazing video, I loved it and learned so much and was also corrected. It will bring good fruit in my family. Even though I'm a guy and I never thought about others as my role models very much, lately, honestly, I see you became it. Probably mostly because of the many things that I see I lack and you have them and use them well - courage, kindness and humility among the main ones. A man should have them (too), obviously some are more typical for woman. Regarding Proverbs 31, I still see in it that the woman works a lot, but it's not a whole week out on someone else's field or in a factory, but she's still primarily around the home and the money are related to that.

I am so grateful for your witness. I feel like the “manosphere” recognizes the need for a restoration of femininity in modern culture. But their prescriptions can be way off. These guys don’t really know what God created women to be. We need voices like yours engaging with these guys!
